James Ellis Ford - Lost in Another World (2026) Domino CD In a rare reversal of the trend of my kids stripmining my music collection, Son # 2 has lent me this and I'm finding it very uplifting. #NowPlaying

Catching up on last night's Top of the Pops and remembering that - for some reason - I have an Oxide and Neutrino presentation disc I had completely forgotten about. Less Bound 4 Da Reload than it is Bound 4 Da car boot sale. #TOTP

Obscured by some random 'top of the shelving unit' detritus, a legit presentation disc for Oxide and Neutrino's album, Execute - given to me during the last days of Our Price, I think.

Reinforcements arrived safely. (Mere moments after I read a post from an unimpeachable source saying the new mixes are terrible.)

Peter Stoneman @peterstoneman.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I saw them in 2008 - only once, though. As you say, Kenny, they were ace.

Peter Stoneman @peterstoneman.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

There's also a Rubber Soul* on its way later to offer further relief. *Only the 2CD version, so if someone can do me a tape of the box set that'd be smashing.x

I like that Neil Norman has two personas on Sky Arts documentaries. Standard Neil for movies and Rockin' Neil for music.

Film and theatre critic Neil Norman on Sky Arts discussing Sidney Lumet and sporting a sober 2-piece suit and tie combo.

Rock critic Neil Norman on Sky Arts discussing Primal Scream and sporting a Clarksonesque leather jacket from Mabu Leather in the Belfry Centre, Redhill.

Update: Trip to recycling centre confirmed. Brian Bennett, Jimmy Smith and Jimmy McGriff and a few others made the trip worthwhile.

The rejects pile - a big stack of marching band music and uninteresting easy.

A smattering of less bad LPs. Illustrated London Noise by Brian Bennett!

Heading out shortly to look at a £10 FB Marketplace vinyl job lot - on the basis of four records looking quite nice in the pics. The pics and listing were quite vague, however, so I suspect a trip to the recycling centre is on the cards for the weekend.
