Looks like they've already ripped off the watermarked version too? (Reported, obviously.)

I'm really just hoping they finally follow up on one of the very first interactions he had with a British person, the woman playing football in the park. (For three seasons I hoped that was a *very* long lead-up to her eventually getting a tryout for Richmond, so it's not a new thought.)

It doesn't take that long, really; I ripped a library of about 1100 to FLAC over a few months. Had to replace a small number because the discs were damaged/unreadable*, which is another good reason to do them sooner than later. *Some, not all, were okay with a different drive.

I wonder how much that $1047 would be under the Norwegian (partially-)income-based fine system? The "simple fine" just for driving 86 in an 80 zone *once* is about $500, with additional penalties possible, according to trafikksiden.motocross.io/informasjon/...

Posting this a bit down-profile to not de/distract from your message: please use the "alt text" feature to make your posts more accessible to folks with vision impairments (and in general). For example, what "this" is in the post above isn't clear without knowing what's in the image.

FWIW re your parenthesized comment: Bluesky is pretty aggressive at resolving things that look like URLs, and doesn't remove an "URL" preview/link that it's (incorrectly) resolved. I suspect you typoed "aiming" as "ai[.]ing" and then fixed the spelling without removing the preview card.

The one I remember most had a dial with discrete channels for VHF and a continuous dial for UHF; VHF tuning gave a satisfying "chunk" when you went up or down a channel, but tuning UHF felt like chewing on aluminum foil. I'm convinced that's where the occasional nerve issues in my fingers started.

That type of pushbroom moustache though? Like, Kip Dynamite kind of fits the bill but I don't think of his moustache as being "big" (although it's fairly wide).

"Filling up" my Bolt from zero costs about $12 (given free parking after 6 and on weekends) and a 5-minute walk; more than a home charger on off-peak, but still very reasonable. In suburbs you'd almost certainly need home charging, but apartment/condo dwellers can 100% go EV without it.

For what it's worth: I live in a downtown highrise condo (not in Toronto) & can't put a charger in our underground parking. However, there's a public station two blocks away (+ 2 more within ~6 blocks), an accessible fast charger at the hotel next door, and a free charger a 15-minute bike ride away.

If you're not averse to the command line, I've found pdftotext (part of "poppler") does a nice job of extracting plain text that you can then paste cleanly. Literally just `pdftotext myfile.pdf` then open myfile.txt; might need to combine lines that are split but that's usually the worst of it.

Q&A: Corin Raymond, the Toronto musician who’s funding his next album with Canadian Tire money
If you don’t know Corin Raymond’s music, there’s a good chance you’re familiar with his face. Over the last few weeks he has graced the pages of newspapers and appeared on network news channels. And it’s no wonder his latest endeavour is capturing people’s imagination: much like his music, it’s steeped in Canadian tradition that’s thicker than maple syrup. This songster has set out to fund his upcoming live album with fan-donated Canadian Tire money.
