7th street Melville. The real life setting on which the Afrikaans TV series 7nd Laan was based. There is NOTHING that vaguely resembles life in the series. Melville is characterized by homes that have high walls built on the pavements and electric fences. I found it odd to say the least.

The Keisie Valley is one of the most beautiful places I have yet encountered on by brief travels. It lies at the foot of the Burgers Pass or the Koo Pass on the R318 that eventually ends in Montagu. A rich fertile valley filled with vineyards and vast olive plantations for a far as the eye can see.

For those that know the False Bay coast will know that this time of the year it gets hammered by the South Easterly wind. Macassar Beach was once a haven for communities from the area. It has been allowed to "decay" over the years These are the "remains" of the lifesaver "huts". #Photography

"Cape Town City Hall is a large Edwardian building, built in 1905, and located in Cape Town's city centre. It is located on the Grand Parade, to the west of the Castle, and is built from honey-coloured oolitic limestone, imported from Bath in England". With my picture taken in 2022

Finished it. Brilliant read. #CarynDollie is an incredible story teller. The level of detail is mind blowing. The final pages are inspiring. "The power to drive change is ours". We can NOT remain silent in the face of injustice. Crime affects us all. A must read IMO.
