Such awful and sad news about Keegan. Thoughts to his family and to every #NUFC impacted by this loss. His #NUFC early team was the first I ever saw live. It was the first professional football game I ever watched in person. The passion he had, which we reflected, is the best version of us all

I just submitted mine and I encourage you to do so as well. Transgender people are just regular folks and to separate/warn about their content is to suggest there is something wrong with learning about them or hearing their stories. Bullshit. Total bullshit. Please stand up with them to fight this.

Can't even imagine. Very sad day. RIP BC

This is a statement from the Grizzlies organization confirming the death of Brandon Clarke.

Just heard the news about the passing of Wes Rucker, I can't believe it. He was just a really nice, funny guy. Had a little boy and a daughter on the way. Sending all my love to his family and friends, this one hurts.

Looks like longtime contributor (and part of the founding group) Dan Conaway has left the Daily Memphian because they refused to run his opinion piece criticizing Trump amid National Guard deployment in Memphis. If his account is true, this is appalling from the DM. www.reddit.com/r/memphis/co...

Incredibly proud of Newcastle’s performance. Battered the champions before and after Gordon’s dumbass red card. Deserved 3 points, certainly at least 1. Sickening to lose in the 101st minute. Alexander Isak, where the fuck were you? Hope you’re proud of yourself sitting on your ass counting money.

And of course it is a source of extreme sadness that this stuff is born from the xAI compound right here in Memphis. Wonder if the Mayor’s office wants to comment?

Have to say that this piece from David Thorpe on Cedric Coward is pretty incredible. The guy shot 72 percent on twos in 72 college games!! That is absolutely insane. Great length, versatility, plenty of athleticism, good character, I dunno, I get it. www.truehoop.com/p/draft-cedr...

The Bane trade is a phenomenal one for the Grizzlies. Massive pick haul, including a likely lottery pick (via swaps) in 26. Sets them up to either build around Ja/Jaren or to make bigger moves in a larger rebuild. Bane's owed $165mm over 4 years. Huge contract for a 3rd guy; they've cleared that $.

The 2026 World Cup has a chance to be an all-time fiasco for the United States both on and off the pitch. Why would anyone risk their own safety to travel here to watch their team play - and why would anyone here want to watch this team get thumped over and over?

Peter Edmiston @peteredmiston.bsky.social · 06/06/2025

YET AGAIN the Pacers win a game they have no business winning. Crazy mental toughness. 20 first half turnovers against a 68-win team but they still manage to win on the road. What a phenomenal performance.

020

Peter Edmiston @peteredmiston.bsky.social · 06/06/2025

Pacers should be down by 40. Miracle that it's only 12. Almost everyone on their roster looked scared and sped up wildly.

I remember being told that the temporary NBA Finals court logo was dangerous, players were slipping on it - but something needs to be done to make this game look like an EVENT. The only Finals logo I can see are on the stanchions. Don't like the Finals patches being on the back of the jerseys either

Peter Edmiston @peteredmiston.bsky.social · 25/05/2025

Annoyed with that performance but ultimately Newcastle are in the Champions League; it really doesn't matter how it happened. Best season of my life hands down. A cup? Champions League? Incredible. Eddie Howe, you are an amazing man.

Certainly must be a source of pride for Memphis government to have bent over backwards to host the data center responsible for this kind of cool stuff

This has been without a doubt the most depressing series I've seen in a long time. Seems like a decade ago the Grizzlies were top 4 in the West. Now they're being humbled mercilessly. They look like a team that knows they're second best in every department. Very little positive to cling to.

I would say @zachlowenba.bsky.social and @howardbeck.bsky.social have pretty well nailed it here vis a vis your Memphis Grizzlies. The Big 3 ain't Big 3'ing. Talking shit and then getting hit. Big offseason coming in 3 games. Nothing should be off the table. streamable.com/a112g2

If the Grizzlies get their score doubled up in this game, the series should immediately end. No need to make anyone watch any more of this.

Peter Edmiston @peteredmiston.bsky.social · 20/04/2025

Very important question. Does Robert Pera give a fuck about any of this? I dunno. Does anyone? Does he even know he still owns a team? No idea. If he cared, he'd be worried.

120

Peter Edmiston @peteredmiston.bsky.social · 20/04/2025

And then you fast-track firing a coach who had done everything you'd asked of him, including firing a bunch of assistants & trying to integrate new ones he didn't pick ; fired him w/ 9 games left for no apparent reason to move in the hot new thing who is getting embarrassed in his playoff debut.

110

Peter Edmiston @peteredmiston.bsky.social · 20/04/2025

Zach Kleiman's seat had better be pretty warm. Obviously a few things out of his control, but the Thunder have absolutely rocketed past the Grizzlies (and everyone else) while the Grizzlies have stalled out with a so-called Big 3 and several prominent whiffs in FA and the first round of the draft.

Peter Edmiston @peteredmiston.bsky.social · 20/04/2025

Out of curiosity, what is any of this supposed to make me think about Tuomas Ilsalo? Has anything that's happened bolstered his reputation? Could anything realistically have? Does this make it harder or easier for him to be named full-time HC?

200

Peter Edmiston @peteredmiston.bsky.social · 20/04/2025

I mean the Grizzlies were never going to tank the play-in in order to keep their pick and avoid (waves hands) all this...BUT let's not portray any of this as especially valuable playoff experience.

010

Peter Edmiston @peteredmiston.bsky.social · 28/03/2025

Next step will tell a lot. I'm assuming Iisalo will be named the interim coach. Maybe not even interim. Maybe this is a play to lock him in ahead of expected interest in the offseason. That's the most innocuous explanation. If it's not him and this isn't the reason, then things get dicey...

020

Peter Edmiston @peteredmiston.bsky.social · 28/03/2025

No matter what anyone may have thought about Taylor Jenkins, to fire him at this stage of a 44-29 season is bizarre on the face of it. There has to be more to the story - a lot more. There are only a scant few reasons why you'd have to do it RIGHT NOW, and I'm not going to wildly speculate (yet).

Dipping my toes back into the stat scene a bit, according to my search on Stathead and CBBref, last night against the Grizzlies was the first time Steph Curry played any game, college or pro, took at least 4 shots and didn't make a single one.
