Great .. except I never said 'we must treat protest as terrorism'. Nobody has. Infiltrating an RAF base to sabotage RAF aircraft is simply not 'protest'. As for Russia, if Russia wasn't 'resurgent' .. it wouldn't have Brexited the UK, Trumped the US and invaded Ukraine.

Russia recently destabilised the US .. purely using hybrid warfare, propaganda and 'useful idiots' .. much as he successfully wrecked the UK a few years earlier by Brexiting us .. I really doubt Putin thinks he's losing. China, Iran and N Korea are also actively using hybrid warfare against Europe.

Legal changes aside .. and the fact that was an attack on US military assets, not UK military assets .. the main difference is that close on 25 years have passed the world has changed and we now have a resurgent Russia (allied with Iran, N Korea, China) openly trying to destabilise Europe.

Read the legal definition of terrorism. As for the planes .. they are leased by the RAF, flown by RAF crews, used by operationally by the RAF and were stationed on an RAF base. So the 'but not RAF' is a feeble excuse.

'Make up' what? I have referred to: the infiltration of the RAF base, the attack on the RAF aircraft, the uncertainty over what was done to the aircraft during the attack .. and a legal definition? All facts as far as i'm aware? But stating a few objective facts has triggered the apologists ..

An RAF base was infiltrated by saboteurs who disabled two planes. It may have been subsequently proven to be 'just paint' and the aircraft may have been repaired .. but that is not the point .. neither is whatever cover story the saboteurs gave the media to justify the attack

I have a huge problem with the way UK security has been defunded to the point of demoralisation and ineffectiveness .. the fact saboteurs can so easily infiltrate an RAF base and disable two refuelling aircraft is a prime example. Russia's 'useful idiots' celebrating it is just icing on the cake
