She's right, in a way. The manga is a slow, slice-of-life portrait of a middle-aged writer who buys a boat and takes up fishing. It reminds me of my own work in some ways. What are you reading?

San Francisco Zine Fest had all unisex bathrooms that had obviously been built as separate "Men's" and "Women's" facilities. That meant that I could still use a urinal, which helps with the accuracy thing, but that the bathroom was all-gender, which helps with... well, everything else. It was nice.

I forgot to mention that I've also been experimenting with refilling Microns with PCB! There's a refillable Micron-style pen called Karappo, but they don't have a wide enough nib. But the Micron nibs fit! And you can disassemble and refill Microns, sometimes, though it's tricky.

I have one or two Pentel pens with the Carbon Black cartridges, and the rest are stock. So it's not a big difference. Except that sometimes, and I forget which ink it is, but sometimes it doesn't dry for a LONG TIME which causes BIG PROBLEMS when I erase :P

Well, it's a long nerd journey, but I was looking for an ink that was water-resistant enough to watercolor over, dark enough for drawing comics, and wouldn't clog fountain pens. So now I put Carbon Black in my Kawecos for example. And I don't hate the Pentel ink, but I do also like Carbon.

It sounded like the left front wheel bearing to me. The mechanic stethoscoped it and determined our intermediate shaft was bad, so we replaced that. The noise was still there! I took it back.
