Start of the week with this one particularly audacious work of musique concrète formed of national anthems and radio signals. Once saw this being performed live many moons ago. Karlheinz Stockhausen - Hymnen (1969, Deutsche Grammophon)

Just finished On Minimalism: Documenting a Musical Movement (eds. O’Brien & Robin). Spotlighting post-minimalists like Rabinovitch, Zagny, and Southam was refreshing. The interviews with Pärt and Górecki are wonderfully thoughtful.
