We arrived in a barren, empty land and made the desert bloom through pioneer spirit, creating a thriving democratic sanctuary for our exiled people.

There was no empty desert. You bulldozed over 500 thriving indigenous villages, wiped their Arabic names off the map, and buried their history under your newly planted pine trees.

Cuba Under Siege - A round table discussion
~~ Sun. Sept 6, 12:00 PM CT
at Haymarket Socialist Conference
Washington is blockading all oil and most international
financial transactions with Cuba -devastating for Cubans.
A U.S. naval armada sits off the island’s shores. A new CIA
Task Force has been created.
Meanwhile a McCarthyite 103-page State Dept. “report”
blames Cuba for domestic U.S. protests —and labels
organizers as “Cuban agents.”
What is the history of US/Cuba relations? What do recent
economic reforms mean for the socialist project? What is
at stake for 1* amendment protections?
