Sounds like he intends to commit crimes. Proving intent is a key part to prosecuting a crime. The President’s sole responsibility is to see that the laws are faithfully executed, so his intent to break the law is an absolute abrogation of his duty. It’s helpful for him to admit it openly.

What can we do to see the search warrant? Can we pry it loose with a FOIA request? Do Omar or her lawyers have a copy or could the DHS personnel have waived it at her without providing a copy? Can her lawyers be barred from showing or discussing it?

I agree; that decision was an abomination. It highlights the importance of judicial reform. The check on judicial overreach comes from Congress; they may (and should) impeach without any input or recourse from either other branch. Abominations must be punished and deterred or they will recur.

We must resist the temptation to blame this all on Trump.The whole Republican Party has enabled him at every step of the way - Republicans in the Administration, Republicans in the Judiciary, and especially Republicans in Congress. The election can turn the tide but only accomplishes the first step!

There’s a reason that war is declared by CONGRESS and no other part of government; CONGRESS would work through the implications as an activity of collective intelligence. They are slower, but harder to corrupt and less likely to make STUPID DECISIONS! Unconstitutional actions may not go unpunished!

Exactly! The war caused higher prices. This was the whole plan: raise revenue from CONSUMERS collected up front by an invisible sales tax (which is REGRESSIVE) to avoid making the tax system more PROGRESSIVE. The rich are taxed less, the poor are taxed more, and lucrative exceptions earn GRIFT.

Well, we know there are judges (Eileen Cannon) who will abuse the law for Trump. But they can’t do it anonymously! They must face scrutiny and accountability! We need more and better punishment for legal misbehavior. Obviously the deterrents are not severe enough. This must be remedied!

We PROSECUTED them and obtained convictions from JURIES! They weren’t PERSECUTED. Our legal system is pretty good at making that distinction. So far, they have ONE plea deal from BOLTON and a conviction (Prairie Land) that should fall apart on appeal. We secured hundreds of convictions for Jan 6.

That’s a distraction. The real story is potential judicial and prosecutional misconduct. If her father filled out the forms, how can they prove that she knowingly committed fraud. What evidence did they convince which judge would be found in her home proving her intent to commit fraud?

We’ve had enough examples of misconduct by this justice department where they’ve improperly obtained indictments which couldn’t withstand scrutiny. The judge approving this search warrant better have their ducks in a row because the theory behind this search warrant is as thin as paper!

Ilhan Omar acquired her citizenship as a child in 2000 based upon paperwork submitted by her late father. By the 4th Amendment, a search warrant requires probable cause that specific evidence of a crime exists in the searched location. All this must be spelled out in the warrant. SHOW ME THE WARRANT

Immigration judges are “article one judges“ who report up through the administration. Normal judges are “article three judges “ who report through the judicial branch. Both SHOULD follow 4th Amendment procedures for search warrants…

I want to know the specifics! Warrants require probable cause of a crime and must specify a particularized list of the evidence sought. If the crime is fraud on her naturalization forms (filled out by her late father in 2000 when she was a child), WHAT EVIDENCE ARE THEY SEEKING?

Was this a warrant signed by an article 3 judge? Fraud about naturalization paperwork would seem to involve evidence found at a person’s home. This feels like overreach.

It doesn’t really matter who pays the tariffs to the government at the port (hint: only US companies may IMPORT items, so it’s AMERICAN entities EXCLUSIVELY). But they all have to scramble to deal with the added costs usually BY RAISING PRICES. That’s why prices are higher.

I work in manufacturing and we make things using parts from all over the world. Tariffs immediately add costs and chaotic ones destroy all ability to plan. Good suppliers take DECADES to develop. Our economy has never been as badly managed as by this corrupt administration.
