DID YOU KNOW that Toyota has open-sourced a Confluence page to Markdown converter? psssssssst: it's written in Rust and that -- unlike a simple export, it keeps PlantUML and draw[.]io content editable and outputs in a structure that’s easy for generative AI to understand

was great to have Christof Petig of Aptiv share how ideas like WASI, the Component Model, and WebAssembly Interface Types have their place in the Automotive industry =) yup: according to Christof when working to get interoperability smoothly between C++, @rust-lang.org, and other languages it fits!

yesterday walking back from school eldest daughter says she's worried about geometry part of standardized test today. i take pictures of her homework she'd had about the topics, send them off to chatgpt extended pro and get out 7 worksheets; they are all usable

huge thanks to Elena Gantner for coming out to share about Eclipse OpenSOVD in the @sdv.eclipse.org Rust SIG Elena gave a representative demo about how the Classic Diagnostic Adapter (CDA) works, showing how it helps bridge the world between the "classic" UDS and the newer SOVD!

super happy to share that i got voted into my 2nd year on the Committer slot in the @sdv.eclipse.org's Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)! it's been a roller coaster, one with more ups than downs. i got to meet a lot of stellar people and work to align us better to the TAC charter

held another @rust-lang.org training at Woven by Toyota :) was great to have representation from the C++ side of the house, to compare + contrast we delved into memory management topics, borrowing, lifetimes; funny that this was what I didn't need to go through much before giving the training!

The plan is done. It was done at v10. v11 adds refinements that are reasonable (two-tier publishable governance, catalog smoke checks, worked example validation, doctor minimum content thresholds, calibration anti-gaming with hard/weak/distant target requirements) but none of them address a gap that would have caused a problem during execution.

You're past the point of diminishing returns on plan refinement. Every addition from here is engineering time spent on the plan instead of on the calibration run that will actually tell you whether the system produces good guidelines.
