Hundreds of billions of dollars on AI to give us “a potion seller is a person who sells potions”.

Screenshot of an embedded YouTube player. The video is Justin Kuritzkes’s “Potion Seller”. The AI summary below unhelpful says “A potion seller is a person who sells potions. In some cases, the potion seller may only sell their potions to the strongest beings.”

I sadly haven’t touched Python in years but to money-where-my-mouth-is it, I’m delighted to throw them a little money.

Late followup - it was this! Lil chrome extension that adds your current Spotify song to the PR description you're writing on GitHub with album art and a preview link. (My main lessons were that the Spotify Web API is surprisingly nice and Chrome Extensions are unsurprisingly painful to develop.)

Screenshot of a GitHub pull request description preview and a Spotify miniplayer window. The same song is displayed in both.

Very different vibes on my New Books today but equally excited for both.

Two books on a table. One is “Leading Effective Engineering Teams” by Andy Osmani. The other is Blood Sweat & Chrome : the Wild and True Story of Mad Max Fury Road
