i'm not sure how i feel about the fact that remixes no longer have MZD involved in them visually... the fact whether you like MZD or not, isn't it kind of a shame if he's not the character due to the fact it was a long time pop'n tradition? it's the charm of the pop'n world's lore.

As someone who spent the early 2010s on 4chan, it absolutely warped my brain. Ideology and slurs I'd never even heard prior were now things I saw regularly. A constant barrage of furious outrage over absolute nonsense. Soaking in that primed me for it, and it took years to deprogram that brain rot.

My room is an unorganized mess and I've allowed myself to feel like a failure. To barely feel like I live in a home. Unpresentable. I never get drawing done the way I want cuz I'm stuck thinking about how tedious it is, how it'll take hard work to get things the way I want. Can I even do that? Etc.

At work, it's easy to hop to it because ADHD demands the stimulation and ultimately I have all my tools and the confidence to do things to completion. At home, I rather avoid everything even though it distresses me greatly. Because it distresses me.

But thinking about doing something, NEEDING to do it, or else I SUCK as a human being, I'll amount to fucking nothing, I'm so unbelievably unhappy, unsatisfied with life because I can't accomplish these things.. That's how I know what I have is a part of having OCD. It's irrational, it can be hell.

Some days I can just be a really strict, persnickety person and I will have little to no anxiety that day. Days like these had me being like "well I can't have OCD because I'm not *like that*", "I'm not thinking it'll be the end of the world or anything"...

If I am not good at this nor on top of certain tasks, then I'm as good as dead. And I would get frustrated at others who don't see or feel things the way I do. "Are my coworkers IDIOTS? Why is this not 'X'? Why is this 'Y'?" It's really exhausting to be that way. Some days are a breeze, though.

My extreme thoughts aren't exactly that I think something bad will happen and that I'll die... It's that I think the worst thing that could happen from not cleaning/organizing is either losing my job, others' respect, and losing this high-standard capability I expect myself to have.

My workplace HAS to look appealing and be tidy, otherwise it's horribly embarrassing and I start to get anxious. I think not being on top of my tasks telegraphs to others exactly who I am as a person. So if things are out of place, I must be incapable! Lazy! Good for nothing!

My most common habit is straightening and rearranging stock at work. I do it because I can, I see myself as very capable and that I have a kind of high standard. But it doesn't stop there. I NEED to organize these things. My standards are so high because I think it's a REFLECTION of me.

But the reason it becomes an aspect of OCD is not because I think I will die or suffer a great terrible event, exactly. It's because having OCD, I overthink why I must do something. The real difference between having OCD and not, is more like why doing specific tasks is necessary for you.

But the way it manifests is also not so dire always. For *some* people the anxiety is so bad, it feels like they will die, I'm sure. I denied any accusations of OCD because my peers were using it as a tease to point out how persnickety I was being. I thought it was just that. Being strict, uptight.

At the same time, I don't think it's helpful for well-meaning people to combat it by giving the extreme example of what OCD is, ie, it is when you clean or organize because you think you'll DIE. It's just as vague and unhelpful? Like yeah, the condition isn't as simple as others make it out to be.

OCD talk & thoughts again, kinda disorganized. I'm spitballing. It'll be bout why it was hard for me to identify it in myself. Only identifying stereotypes allows people to obscure that process... It IS annoying for someone to joke about having OCD if all they do is clean/organizational tasks.
