Thank you for your concern, I just tried to verify your claims with the character isolated from the background, and it says it's likely real. I very much understand the want to scrutinize for these things, so if you think it's definitely AI, please provide me of some other details that may prove it.

She's not of any common species I know of, closest thing I could compare her to is an eldritch horror. Her origin in story is that she was created from primordial life's original desire to consume.

This is a recent character sheet commission for Elowynn, one of the main characters of my novels. It came out amazing, and I would definitely recommend the amazingly talented @olivialianamain.bsky.social, who drew this piece for me, for anybody looking to turn a character concept into reality! #art

It is with a heavy heart that I have to delay the release of my debut book at least one more time. I probably won't get the final edit back before the current deadline, and I definitely won't be able to review it before I need to upload my final version. My sincere apologies for this. #booksky

Sirens are not fish people and I'm tired of people pretending they are. They are birds, they are on the rocks instead of in the water because they're birds. Get it right. #mythology #greekmyth #greekmythology

A piece of worldbuilding I'd like to share for my world! This is about the Crawford test, an archaic method of distinguishing humans from spirits, let me know what you all think! #worldbuilding #writingcommunity #booksky #indieauthors
Crawford test

Developed initially by Tiffany Crawford, around three centuries ago, a Crawford test is a series of questions designed to discern the difference between people and spirits. To do this, it is a test filled with deliberate inconsistencies, made up of questions with no clear correct answers.

Some of the most important inconsistencies are in the amount of questions asked and the time required for the test. Tell the taker of the test the amount of questions you will ask them. Tell the taker of the test the exact time the test will take (do not include a timekeeping device in the room, this can skew result). The end goal of both the proposed amount of questions and the allotted time is that they're false. If the taker of the test objects to either the amount of questions asked or the exact time the test takes, it may indicate they are not a true person.

The exact nature of the questions asked are of little consequence, but they have to fall into three parameters, firstly, that they don't have a clear correct answer. Secondly, that the questions can be followed up on with ease, and thirdly, that there can be comments to the answers. Topics may include preferred food, activities, flowers, all sorts of things that don't have deliberate correct answers.A Crawford test is designed to short-circuit a spirit's single-minded consciousness. It does so by asking questions detached from a spirit's central desire in a deliberately inconsistent way. It was adopted at its time of conception to discern whether something is human or spirit, and while the fact remains that a correctly executed Crawford test has never dubbed a spirit as a person, the same can't be true for the opposite. Crawford tests are very much designed around the experience of a neurotypical person, so it's quite possible that those somewhere on the spectrum can fail the test while definitely being people.

In the current day, the Crawford test has fallen out of favor, at least in deciding the different between spirit and person. Instead, the current most prominent method meant to test these things is an incision procedure, by which small, fast-healing incicions are made with regular blades on the very surface of the skin. Since spirits can't be harmed by tools without enchantments, the slight damage from the procedure can prove the one undergoing it is human. But in most cases, a test isn't required, and the nature of someone proclaiming to be a person can be easily verified with records of birth and governmental registration.

This doesn't mean the Crawford test is useless in the modern day. Currently, it's mostly used by those who believe spirits to be capable of personhood. Since false positives are unheard of, a 'spirit' acing a Crawford test could be treated as good evidence that spirits can grow into full-blown people. But as of yet, there are no provable records of a being that can be identified fully as a spirit succeeding on a Crawford test.

A spirit-talker's job isn't easy. Especially not when the prey bites back. "Love Bites" is a slow-burn introspective romance novel set in a world where the supernatural is close to mundane, yet far from completely understood.
