Hello I am back in my favourite place after 5 long long years oml. I've missed this place so much. <3

Photo looking out over a bay from a cliffside house in Albany, Western Australia. You can see the docks in the distance, and some ships in the harbour. The sky is cloudy and it was raining and cold. A delightful day!

Friends, we had to say goodbye to Dora last night. She hadn’t been very well and last night she was at a point where we knew it was time. She’s buried by the grapefruit tree, one of her favourite spots to sleep in the garden.

Photo of a tuxedo cat sleeping on a bench outside in the sunshine. She is facing the camera. A red and blue square cushion is in front her and she is leaning on a beige cushion.

If you see this, post a concert picture you took

Throwback to my favourite concert ever. Photo of Shirley Manson on stage performing with Garbage at Kings Park in Perth in Nov 2016. I was 3rd row from the front, and they closed with my favourite song, 'Push It'. Best night of my life. Genuinely one of the only good concert pics I have though. I am so bad at taking concert photos. You should see my extremely blurry photos I took when I went to see Roger Water's The Wall in ... 2011? 2012? Whenever that was. All blurry as fuck wooo. I'm so good at this photography thing.

Dora suffered Great Indignities at the vet this week bc she is bad at grooming and won’t let us brush her. But! Her thyroid levels are finally normal and her kidneys are working fine! Not bad for a 15yo cat. :D

Photo of a newly shorn tuxedo cat sleeping curled up on my bed. This blanket is her new favourite spot right now. Her head, tail, and parts of her legs remained unshorn.

A rare instance of Dora letting me put a blankey on her. She stayed on the bed here and slept for at least half an hour.

Another photo of Dora sleeping on my bed. In this one she is facing away from us all curled up.

Latest photo of my cat, curled up asleep against my pillow on my bed. Her face is partly hidden by her tail.

Had a lovely spot for birthday lunch tho so there’s that. Excellent food and great company.

Photo from the cafe where we were eating across the marina to where some big expensive houses are. There are a few small boats at the docks in the distance. The weather is sunny and bright, no clouds in sight, and the water is a lovely blue colour. The sky is that kind of vivid hot summer day blue sky. Lovely stuff.

Top YouTube artists for me were Sabaton, Lady Gaga, Wind Rose, No Doubt, and Muse.

Top songs are an In The Navy parody from the Chasers War on Everything, the song at the end of The Chaser Decides 2007, Paul McDermott singing Perfect Day, Abracadabra by Lady Gaga, and Paul McDermott singing Throw Your Arma Around Me. Di Wep Ronpet Nofret! Happy Kemetic New Year! May the blessings and protections of the Netjeru be with you this year. <3 #WitchSky #KemetSky

A photo of my Kemetic shrine set up for the New Year. In the centre is a large statue of Sobek, flanked on the right by a large statue of Ra, and on His left by a statue of Wesir who is wrapped up in a black cloth. Beside Wesir to the left are statues of Heru, Aset, and Nit, and next to Ra sits statues of Bast, Djehuty, and Wepwawet, who is hidden behind a white taper candle) in a gold candle holder.

The shrine is on two levels. The statues sit on a top narrow shelf, and below that is a larger working area containing my ritual book, candle holders, and an incense burner.

A pair of Egyptian papyri the parents found at an op shop this afternoon. They're massive. I've got the framed one hanging above my bed atm, but the other will need a matching frame before we can hang it. The frame it's in rn is in rough shape. Cost $16 for both. Bargain. #WitchSky #KemeticSky

A photo of a reproduction handpainted papyrus showing the Dendera zodiac in bright colours. It's mounted on a blue mat with a glass borderless frame that's being held together with sticky tape.

A photo of a reproduction handpainted papyrus showing the sky goddess Nut bent over on her hands and feet. The red solar discs in her body show the sun's progress through the hours of the night. A silver curved bow that could be the sun barque is seen by her head, facing sideways down to the earth. The sky is painted blue with gold stars. Many small figures have been painted inside the area the goddess makes, and there's some hieroglyphic text written at the bottom.

Gnawing away is not my first instinct of how I would describe corroding but boy does that paint a pretty badass picture in my head of what that action does.

A page from the Tyson edition of the Three Books of Occult Philosophy, showing a numbered list of definition notes from chapter nine from book 1. It’s outlining some brief definitions of words, namely digesting, resolving, mollifying, restringing, absterging, corroding, conglutinating, repercussing, stupefying, bestowing, and lubrifying. The other definitions are fairly straightforward but the one for corroding describes it as gnawing away.

Mine was getting this gorgeous pin delivered. I have another two pins from this series on the way.

A large round 2 inch/5cm enamel pin on a card backing. The pin depicts one of the characters from Empires SMP, Pearlescent Moon, as her farmer queen character. It's a cartoon-like art style. She is a woman with long brown hair, light blue eyes, and wearing a green dress and sandals. She is carrying a hoe and has sunflowers in her hair. She has a seated pose, and is carrying the hoe with both hands like a staff weapon. The pin background is light green with diamond-shaped sparkles and dark green leaves on the edge. The backing card reads Empires SMP at the top, and Limited Edition at the bottom, with a simple black line border and more diamond-shaped sparkles.

Attempting to represent Egyptian planetary gods with whatever I have on hand. Not perfect but it’ll do. #witchsky Left to right: Mars (Heru), Saturn (Heru), Jupiter (Heru), Venus (Wesir), Mercury (Djehuty), Moon (Iah-Khonsu), Sun (Sobek-Ra).

Photo of seven Egyptian statues on a dark blue altar cloth. From left to right it shows a statue of Heru, technically Sokar, Heru again, then Wesir, a small good ibis for Djehuty, then Khonsu and Sobek. A long wooden boat-shaped incense holder sits in front of the statues.

genuinely the worst thing about being done with tafe is my brain reminding me of all the creative projects i haven't finished but could definitely get back to now that i have my time back. like this one. a book with a handwritten set of myths about a goddess i created for a novel series ages ago.

A photo of a handmade hardcover book. The cover is a dark cherry colour. On the front in gold pen, I wrote the words 'The Chronicles of Masrai' in a stylised font and my name 'Sobekemiti'.

A photo of the first two pages of the book. The left page is an illustration, with the page split diagonally in two by a hand-drawn line from the top right to the bottom left. The top left section contains some hieroglyphs, along with a drawing of a gold coloured snake whose coils run up the page. The snake has a headdress that looks like a small triangle sitting on a crescent moon, with a bolt of lightning hitting the top of the triangle. The lower section has a stylised creature drawn in red, with two tails with arrows at their tips, and a face with a long nose and long pointed ears. It has hieroglyphs next to it, and a headdress that's a spear tip blade shaped object on top of a crescent moon. The right page has the first chapter of the myth titled, 'On The Origin Of Masrai', followed by handwritten text.

Two more pages from the book. The left page has four and a half lines of handwritten text, followed by an illustration of three rolling desert dunes and a sandstorm swirling across them, with some hieroglyphs on the left hand side of the page. The right page is the start of the second chapter, titled 'Journeys of Fire', allong with some more handwritten text.

A third set of pages. The left page has three paragraphs of handwritten text, along with an illustration of a lion head, drawn in gold, with a headdress that looks like a thin narrow triangular point sitting on the bottom of a crescent moon that has long horns. A heart glyph is to the right of the lion. Water is underneath the lion and the lion is drinking from it. There is a baboon sitting to the right, with a crescent moon headdress with a star on top, and a staff, offering a bowl to the lion. Some hieroglyphs sit to the right of the baboon. The right page is the start of chapter three, titled 'The Desert Wind'. It shows an illustration of two high canyon walls with a tornado moving down the middle, and some glyphs on the left hand side. There is a paragraph of handwritten text below it.

Photo showing three spiral bound books on a desk mat. The one on the left is the largest, US letter size, while the other two are 6 by 9 inches. The larger one has an image of the Egyptian god Thoth on the cover, while the two smaller books have a cover that shows a drawing of a Chinese style house surrounded by a couple of trees and a mosaic tile pattern that looks like flowers as a background. The right book has the words ‘guidebook and almanac 2025’ on the cover.
