Where better to be today than home of Ireland’s best ice cream - Fabio’s of Sligo? Elderflower and lemon sorbet - squisito!

#Ireland #HigherEd minister has a lot of very positive things to say about the importance of research, teaching and learning in Europe. Looking forward to seeing these sentiments coming through in government support for our sector #EUALearnTeach #UCC

Great talk by Manel Jiménez Morales on how #HigherEd might respond to the ‘hermeneutics of suspicion’, drawing on concepts from the work of sculptor César Baldaccini. Great reconceptualisation!

Feels sort of strange attending a digital conference on a (post-)algorithmic world in a room lined with these artefacts

#NTUTORRShowcase - @gastatom.bsky.social raises the key question - how to maintain the benefits of the initiative after the funding runs out on 31.12.24? It would be a tragedy not to find ways to sustain as much as possible

And this is a key issue! Students must be supported to access the best quality tools - a huge difference between ‘free’ and paid versions

Fascinating discussion about new digital tech and how to educate in this field - AR, VR, digital twins &c - all potentially expensive but good opportunities for collaboration 😀 #NTUTORRShowcase
