Yeah while working on it I figured it'd be a "iykyk" situation since many ppl aren't familiar with Sweet Home in the first place, the fact it reminded u of a VHS cover is still rly cool!!! I've tried to do my own take of "RE as a 90s ova" in the past (↓ from 2024) so reading that makes me rly happy!

Comparison between the original cover of Sweet Home for the NES and my own drawing, the similarities are mainly on the position of the characters and the overall framing of the piece, with some expressions meant to remind of the original cover, like Chris's open mouth and Rebecca's scared look, color wise they're close enough on the outside, but while the Sweet Home characters are colored in a gradient of red, yellow and blue, the Resident Evil characters keep their color palette in my interpretation. Also, the Sweet Home cover is in Japanese, my Cover is in english, with original text since it's not meant to be a translation.

I also got what I call the "Trigun corner" which includes a DVD and prints a friend got me as gifts, a Vash figure (from the 2000s? I think) the full Spaniard version of the manga (cuz I got rly lucky) the 2nd disc of the anime's soundtrack and the 4 original volumes printed in Argentina in 2015 :3

A shelf filled with the different Trigun objects mentioned in the post, in order: A Trigun 98 DVD, a Vash figure, all the spaniard volumes of the manga, two vashwood prints, a music CD from the anime, and 2 volumes of the first argentinian version of the manga

I never post here but I wanted to talk about this cuz it makes me happy, they've been reprinting the Trigun manga in Argentina after 10 years in a special edition and I couldn't be happier with it, it took almost 2 years to get it and I HOPE they can finish printing it cuz so far its SO good waaaaaa

This is part of a longer comment that I wrote on my ko-fi discord server detailing some things about the drawings and all, but the important part is this, since I think it might help give more context or insight behind these drawings, they were very personal for me to do, alt text is available btw!

Discord screenshot, it reads: I've been rambling too much and I'm gonna ramble some more, so feel free to ignore this, but this piece was very special cuz well, it was a Christmas zine, and truth be told I really don't tend to have a good time on Christmas (in fact this one was probably the best one I've had in a while, which is neat), I have a complicated relationship with my family and even if I didn't, I'm +5.000km away from my parents + sister (not a joke or exaggeration, the closest family member that I have is a cousin that I haven't talked to in +10 years that lives in another city)

So, obviously, I tend to spend them alone, and it's very mixed cuz yeah I wish I wasn't alone, but also I don't wanna spend it in a bad way and all, so its weird, and well- trying to keep spoilers VERY light here about the story of Trigun, but essentially one of Wolfwood's main things, simplifying it a lot, is that he misses the people he used to consider his family and all, putting that with his feelings towards the group in the 98 anime, and me proyecting on him x945849, well I just thought it'd be nice to kinda just, idk, I want to think that this will be me someday, that I will get to choose the people I consider my family to spend christmas with them, and it will be weird, it is weird when good things happen after you've told yourself over and over that you don't deserve them and it will never happen again etc etc, so, yeah, I wanted Wolfwood to have a nice christmas, its not like how it used to be, but that's fine, he gets to have that now, and I hope one day I can have it too, and it will be good even if it feels weird as well
