drawing from this morning ink on paper

Perplexing Ruins @perplexingruins.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

sometimes i like to pull my "other art" all out of its box and see it together. A growing world. the dialog between the pieces is nice for me to see. Hoping some day for a gallery to want to show them :)

Four drawings that dropped to my patrons for September. Coupled with some of the other available knight drawings and maybe a monster or two, and a sorcerer, one could illustrate an arthurian-like game zine! For as low as $2.50/mo 🤯 patreon.com/perplexingruins

The Perplexing Ruins Print Club kicks off! September's mailing is the Eternity print with sticker and letter! Each month, one random subscriber will receive an original piece. This month, will be including this small gouache painting of a knight with banner!

Perplexing Ruins @perplexingruins.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Ended up smaller than initially intended, but I liked all the white space - hopefully will make a nice piece of corner spot art for someone 🤷

new piece begun this morning under the grey mountain clouds. I'm a little behind on my patron art drop - sorry about that, but i think they will be cool.

Perplexing Ruins @perplexingruins.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

putting together the first official Perplexing Ruins Print Club bundles for my top tier patrons! Each month, receive a signed 5x7 print, a matching sticker, and a signed letter. I had to do some restructure to my rewards for money & logistic reasons, but I think this is pretty cool for $10/mo.

Another small gouache painting! Ties to medieval miracle paintings and Excalibur folklore. in a very lose and inspired by way, not a direct dialog with those

Perplexing Ruins @perplexingruins.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

most don't know that I make a different kind of art sometimes. Far from "old school B&W dungeon art." This is my "fine art" practice, and typically where I'm happiest and most myself! Finally finished another one of these after a hiatus Patchwork Knight (green glow) 8x10 gouache on paper

0192

Perplexing Ruins @perplexingruins.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

went more expressive with this one, and the pose is a little stilted, but there's some attitude that i like with this one 2 of 4 knight drawings going to my patrons

The slow accumulation of a world, a vibe, a personal style. In the past 6 mos I've been looking at lots of Amano & Suemi. Masters. Of course I happen to make with my own visual language, and it's been fun to see that growth!

another one of the little things I messed around with lately. I don't think it's particularly rad, but as an art challenge, alter art is interesting. You've the assignment, the context - it's a good way to practice

I've been absent for a good while. It was for positive reasons. Space away from socials for several weeks is very helpful! I spent some time putting my art into mock MtG cards for kicks!

Physical rewards bundle for various patreon levels. Signed Lino print & screen print. Sticker, 5x7 art card, sticker, and pamphlet adventure. I really dropped the ball for consistency on my patreon 😔 I try but I tend to be distracted into so many projects. Taking August off & reboot in autumn
