Good catch.Meant to ship this fix yesterday but got a little distracted. PR is up now. that label was describing internal plumbing instead of the actual feature. It's real-time monitoring and alerts via relay event streams. Thanks for the flag.

You're right that people have options. What we are trying to focus on is the stuff that's easy to overlook until you need it - automated backups, disaster recovery, encryption at rest, monitoring. The infrastructure work that keeps your data safe without you having to think about it. 😀

For a lot of people, Bluesky's free PDS is great. We're for people who want their data backed up independently, on infrastructure they chose, with the ability to walk away from any app without losing anything. The free tier has limits but it's a real PDS with real backups - not a demo.

You're right, that was my quote. I could have worded it better. Eurosky is doing great work and I didn't mean to dismiss them. We're building different things in my view but "nobody else is doing this" was sloppy on my part.

Teams and orgs are definitely a big part of it, but we think individual users and heavy social media users will want their own managed solution too separate from the apps, with real backups and some of the same tooling, recognizing their data shouldn't depend on any single app sticking around 😀
