Yes, Why would the US, who became the world’s dominant superpower after WWII, continue institutions who project that power?

It was never an honest argument. People just had to touch the hot stove a second time to realize they got burned.

So basically your whole argument is because they were conquered many times previously they no longer have claim to a home. That’s nice.

They literally can’t afford what he’s selling anymore.

Even if you entertain that possibility, you cannot ignore the 90 million Americans who happily sat on their ass during the 2024 election. He couldn’t rig the 2020 election.

Then they shouldn’t have elected an election denier as president

Turns out the nostalgia of hate wears off really quick when they hear absolutely nothing about the high price they had to pay to get there.

They couldn’t build a wall either…

No, I’m saying workers were literally beaten and shot at when they protested. The present day conditions aren’t an excuse when previous generations succeeded under worse.
000
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
That’s complete bullshit. Workers had no protections either when they formed the first unions. The civil rights movement had no protections when they marched. It certainly didn’t stop MAGA on January 6 of 2021.

Why would a religious person care what the infidels do? It just speaks to their lack of conviction and sheer arrogance that they must judge others instead of their god. Faith doesn’t require validation, insecurity does.

The only beef Texans have now is with liberals.

That’s just further proof they do not embrace empathy, solidarity or diversity. They’re vicious zealots who demand conformity and moral pageantry. These selfish assholes will never be allies to anyone.

It’s all about their feelings with them, isn’t it?
010
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Their entire premise is false. It’s entirely possible that someone who was pro-Gaza begrudgingly voted for Kamala Harris anyway, because they felt she was the better option to end hostilities. They have to present a false dichotomy, because that’s the only way it doesn’t sound completely moronic

I’m not sure where you got the notion I was letting them off the hook.

77 million people voted for Trump. 90 million didn’t vote. US population is 342 million. That’s roughly half of the country that either explicitly endorsed Trump or did not care enough to stop him.
100
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 06/10/2026
The real troubling part is that half the country is ok with all of that. His popularity is only down because prices have skyrocketed.

I don’t know about largely responsible, but they certainly didn’t help. They’re not serious people. They’re clowns pretending to be saints.

The 2024 election was never about Gaza. That’s a lie leftists tell themselves to be relevant.

peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Exactly! If people actually cared, he’d be in jail and not the White House. Mocking the disabled should’ve been a unanimous disqualification way back in 2016. Instead half the country doubled down on this behavior again in 2024.

Very true

peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
I consider institutions and norms sufficiently destroyed at this point. I agree there needs to be a reckoning at some point, but first Dems simply need to win. If they do that by making this election about the economy and Trump’s policy failures, then let them. That’s where the public anger is.
010
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
What did the previous two impeachments deter exactly?

That’s not fair, some of them are accelerationists, who want to sit back and watch others fight in their revolution.

peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
Yeah, if you remember, Hillary was a foregone conclusion before the 2016 election. No one expected Trump to win. It’s a bias that underrates the danger of something so obviously stupid.
100
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
Look, there’s a reason many think MAGA supporters are all a bunch of poor, dumb rednecks and it has everything to do with the perception a person’s succes is based on merit. So when they saw the biggest idiot coming down the escalator they could not conceive of a world where he would be president.

They have an IG account? As in Meta, who helped cause the genocide in Myanmar? I thought leftists were staunchly against supporting genocide…

People cannot reconcile his success with his stupidity. People believe in a just and fair world where people generally succeed on their merit. If we are ruled by the biggest idiot ever, what does that say about us for electing him? He defies everything we ever held sacred about ourselves.

peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
I think the bigger issue is that half the country had no problem with a convicted insurrectionist, murdering people a second time as long as he could lower prices. His popularity didn’t drop when he was bombing people, but when gas prices went up. The nation sold its soul for the price of eggs.
100
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
It’s half the country. Let’s not forget roughly 90 million people could have made a difference and let it happen anyway.
110
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
Half the country in 2024… None of this is exactly a surprise.
020
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
I agree there needs to be a reckoning if democracy is to survive. However, there won’t even be the opportunity for that if the GOP retains power. It’s simple as that. I don’t trust the Gavin Newsom’s either, but you have offered no alternatives. I wish there were better options.
101
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
Your fatal mistake is thinking a discussion is something that should be something that should be won or lost. You’re arguing voting against Democrats if they fail your litmus test. So I ask you again, what’s the alternative as a citizen with a right to vote? Just keep giving the GOP more power?

They can also stop funding ICE which that money can be spent on people that actually need it.

peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
I can ask you the same question. HOW are you going to solve anything? All you do is criticize . Ending the tariffs would be a good start. Reinstating ACA credits so people are not paying through the nose for healthcare. Generally fixing basic shit that was broken, like having FDA inspections

peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
I don’t think they’re giving up, but rather addressing political realities so they can get elected first. The people already proved they care more about their wallet than American values or the constitution.
000
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
I disagree. It’s like triage. Just because a doctor prioritizes some patients over others, doesn’t mean they won’t treat others later. People don’t want to hear about impeachment now, they want to hear how democrats are going to lower their bills. That’s the dire political reality.
100
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
I don’t care about empty pageantry. If Americans cared, they would never have re-elected him in the first place. That’s politics too. I care about getting control of Congress and making the president a lame duck. Don’t put the cart before the horse.
000
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
The analogy here would be there’s not enough evidence to convict. Let’s not lose the forest through the trees here. The first priority should be stopping the administration from enacting this cruel policy and hurting more people. Vote blue.

Isn’t that basically always their stance? Bernie or Bust. Disavow Israel or get Project 2025. It’s always the same play. They have no concept of solidarity or how to work with others towards even an inch of progress.
020
peripheralagency.bsky.social @peripheralagency.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
That’s what I’m saying. It’s all about you, the great white savior who will bestow their benevolence on the feeble, the weak and ensures they never have any agency ever. You’re a foul person who casually seeps half a million dead children under the rug, for their crusade of the day. No solidarity

Spare me your sanctimonious judgment. It betrays your flawed, pathetic thinking where you cannot divorce your opinions from your identity. You’re no different than a pro-life conservative. A vicious zealot who will sacrifice others for their piety
