Greetings from my crew. 2 friendlies and 2 feral rescues.

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 09/06/2025

Lana says it’s bedtime. She is purring softly. As soon as she is sound asleep, she will either breathe very loudly or moan and groan all night.

Anxiety runs in families and times like we are living in now can ramp it up. But really the cat too, Mikey checks to make sure burners are off and then seems to turn around and let me know.

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 13/05/2025

My gang, 2 Maine Coons, Colonel 7 and Mikey 2. Two feral rescues, Big Foot 9 and Lana 10. All indoor cats, but Colonel and Mikey get to go out with me into fenced backyard. They too are worried about the world now, especially possible supply chain issues with their food.

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 11/05/2025

Goals, Mikey learns to ride in car. He watched it go around the yard empty. Now he checked it out.

I put a pen for their boxes in the garage and in the attic storage room. They enter through a doggie door from interior of house. It has been so great, scoop twice a day and they aren’t tracking litter all over the house.

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 30/03/2025

Your cats are gorgeous. These are my Maine Coons, Mikey and Colonel. Mikey is young with lots of time to grow. Colonel is 7 and weighs 27 lbs. It’s the personalities that make them special.

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 27/03/2025

One suspected terrorist bombed in an apartment with his gf. I believe there are something like 13 other deaths from the bombing. Fire emojis, biceps, etc. celebrating deaths in an undeclared war. Until all our politicians are free of foreign money, we are paying with our tax money for their wars.

000

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 23/03/2025

My dog, Jimmy died last month at 15. Really miss him. My Maine Coons meet me at the door and act more like dogs than cats. Have 2 older ferals that we rescued many years ago also. Had litter pens built in the attic storage room and garage. No litter tracking or smells inside house. Miss my dogs.

Putting a puzzle together takes the worries away for a bit. Then this happens. If I try to move them, especially the big guy Colonel, the pieces will go everywhere.

000

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 17/03/2025

Now I look at them and wonder what happens to them if they take ss and I end up homeless. But yes they are definitely what keeps me going.

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 17/03/2025

When you choose the wide night stand to accommodate all the important things in life. The blind is up so she can look out side all night. Lana will come lay against my side for short periods, but the feral in her and Mikey (the mischievous Maine Coon) makes her too jumpy to completely relax in bed.

000

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 15/03/2025

My strange orange boy, Big Foot. Always ready to run, at the least little sound. 9 years old and the last five he seems to have sensed danger every second of every day. Moved and he never adjusted. It’s really sad, I move my hand, sneeze or make any sound and he is off like the wind.

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 07/03/2025

Getting lots of email supposedly from Social Security. Today’s looks very legit except it came from juliannag@adaccv.org Anyone else getting this stuff?

000

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 07/03/2025

Even at rest Big Foot has his turbos ready to go. Those back legs are rarely down and relaxed. High strung to the point of a finely tuned engine ready to roll.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 02/03/2025

My boy, Tanuki always seemed to be smiling. Always letting you know he was with you. Your pic brought back this memory of my amazing boy. 6 years of wonder .

020

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 15/02/2025

My boy Jimmy couldn’t walk anymore. We rescued him in 2012. He had a deformed front leg, undescended testicle, hernia and deformed rib cage. He was the most trusting loving dog I ever met. He weighed 3 1/2 lbs. The hole I feel today can’t be measured. Poor little JimJim. No more struggling.

020

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

Mikey, the look . I believe he is telling on Colonel for squeezing him out of their car seat. I literally had to pull him free. Colonel sat in front and let him know to move, he didn’t , so Colonel climbed in on top.

010

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

This is my feral rescue Big Foot. He started showing lots of anxiety when I moved 5 years ago. It has only gotten worse. Going to start him on transdermal Prozac next week. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with their cats on it? Notice his back feet, he is always ready to run.

010

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

Lana’s selfie. She is very aware of screens. I guess she either loved or hated her pic, because she promptly leaned down and bit my hand. Love bite or delete that pic, not sure. # CATURDAY

010

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 01/02/2025

My tiny girl, Lana. She was around a year when we trapped her and is about 10 now. Trapped her for my oldest, but he never took her and I am the only one that can pet her. Big Foot is 8 and caught him at 4 weeks. Everyone could pet him till I moved 6 years ago, now he hides if anyone visits.

010

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 01/02/2025

She is gorgeous. How old?. I have 2 gray and 2 orange cats. 2 are previous full feral and 2 are Maine Coons. The grays are by far the calmer ones. This guy loves outside, pouts and follows me if I don’t take him daily. He likes stroller rides, but enjoys the fenced yard when I sit out there with him

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

Actually he prefers to drink his water from the shower when I am trying to shower. The 27 lb one drinks from the 3oz Dixie cup, preferably when I am half asleep and trying not to wake all the way up. I have to hold the cup for him.

161

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Little Lana’s toe beans. 10 year old feral rescue. Trapped her when she was about a year old. My oldest wanted me to tame her for him. She was not friendly at all. It took a long time, but she is friendly to me. My son never took her.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

And with you, from my hairy toed Maine Coon guys. My 2 feral rescues have cute little toe beans, but regard them as private spaces generally and only allow occasional glimpses.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

That’s so sweet. Colonel waited patiently and when Mikey wouldn’t move out of his bed, he laid completely on top of him. All 27 lbs. Mikey was not amused.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

This is Mikey, about 20 lbs right now. Maine Coons grow until they are around 5 yrs old. He is only 2. I don’t expect him to grow as large as Colonel.

010

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

My Maine Coon, Colonel. The vet receptionist is holding him. People always want a pic holding him. He is very laid back, a gentle soul.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

She is adorable, reminds me of my Maine Coons. My cat, Colonel, resting his giant paw on Butters head while cuddling with the little guy. We both miss our little Butters so much.

010

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

She is very pretty. My Colonel knows he’s a big handsome boy, but he’s really up there, because he loves drinking out of the tiny 3oz bathroom paper cups.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 14/01/2025

It’s hard when there is more than one. These were my sleeping buddies until we lost my little Butters. He was 4 lbs and 15 years old. They were really cute together, Colonel is 27 lbs. Butters was an amazing dog.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

Colonel likes his bed. If Mikey or Lana won’t move, he just climbs on top. A 27 lb weighted cat blanket.

030

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 12/01/2025

Jimmy, Big Foot and Lana, my 3 rescues . Jimmy would say Happy Sunday, I love everyone. Lana would watch you, but don’t touch. You wouldn’t even see Big Foot if you were in my house.

050

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 12/01/2025

This is one of my 2 feral rescues. We trapped his litter when they were about 4 weeks old. His name is Big Foot. He went from normal to super high strung when I moved 6 yrs ago. He has now lived up to his name because, he is rarely seen by anyone but me. Tried everything to calm him.

020

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

Caturday, lost teeth, but the cutest face.

120

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

My Colonel being held by vet receptionist in this pic said, Zara is beautiful and of course you want too give her the treat.

000

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

Luke is adorable. How big is he?When they were young. Blk one moved with my daughter. Butters the middle died last year at 15. He was my best buddy. Jimmy, the rescue with the crippled leg is still here at 15. He is not doing great, but is always happy. Butters was 4 lbs. Jimmy is 3lbs.

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

Just ordered shampoo and plan on giving Colonel a bath soon. Not sure about #3 after that.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

Ready for possible snow. Jimmy my 15 year old rescue chihuahua only tries to walk when he has to relieve himself. He falls, flips backwards and ends up on his side on the ground. This is his potty spot for the predicted snow tonight. 2 tables, 2chairs, large tarp, assorted lawn ornaments, and rocks.

010

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

They are wonderful for sure. Their personalities are are kind of like what you would get if you could put the best parts of a dog and a cat’s personality together. The first pic I posted was Colonel with Tanuki , his cousin, who was born with PPDH. He survived 6 years. Now we have Mikey.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

So adorable. Reminds me of Colonel when he was a kitten. Now he is a full grown 27 lb Maine Coon. Athena is really beautiful, enjoy every minute.

130

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

That’s so awesome. Off grid living makes so much sense for a cat to like. So practical. My boys like to go upstairs to the tv no one uses and watch You Tube videos of cats and squirrels.

010

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 06/01/2025

Mikey in a rare moment of quiet dignity and mature reflection. That’s as far as the bed gets made unless company is expected, can’t sleep with heavy covers. Mostly it took too long to find a spread I actually liked. So it is nice and clean, ready for occasional use only. No cat claw marks on it.

030

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 02/01/2025

Jimmy , 3lbs of sweetness. Back at you. However, he used to do whatever he wanted when he could get around. Lifelong deafness to only one word, no.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

Did they chew it so it didn’t fit or lose it? Mikey helps with everything I do. He likes his hair blown dry when I am doing mine. I don’t bother closing shower door or he will just bang it the whole time I shower. Dishwasher problems, cleaning toilets, he’s involved in everything.

110

Perplexed919 @perflexed919.bsky.social · 27/12/2024

Years ago, we would do a puzzle now and then. With the cats it was just too much trouble. So my son gave me a puzzle and puzzle board Christmas. It has a cover so the cats can’t steal pieces. We attempted to work the puzzle. Just the right size for Colonel and Mikey.
