Sounds like my old border collie mix. Except it was an hour at the dog park. Throwing a ball for the entire hour. Into the middle of the Mississippi.

I’m not sure what happened later but it may have involved a phone call to Dr. Andrews for a Tommy John consultation.

Meet Mindy. She does not “fetch”. She does not chew on toys other than to rip the stitches and surgically remove the squeak box. She does not “have a tug”. She only chases down toys when Lizzie the other dog might get to it first.

Tony O at the Bananas game today. Apologies for the quality, my wife is at the game with our youngest out in right center; she knows and cares little about baseball. I’m guessing she heard the crowd go crazy and snapped a quick photo of one of the video boards for me.

No. My team signed him for $40000, raised him and nurtured him; he won a batting title and we got several years (not this year though) of Pablo Lopez. Tony V and Buster do not deserve precious Luis. Here’s how much we love him. I took my kids to SpongeBob night and this was the Padres lineup.

Accurate alt text. My Pyr is also a big derp. Instead of the patio door, she will go up to Youngest’s bedroom window to visually patrol (read: bark at) the street and front yard for 10 minutes. Then she falls asleep under the curtain, laying on the AC vent. This is her in stealth mode.

This lady (border collie / lab) topped out about 60. She passed about 7 years ago but she was smart and loyal to a fault.

Adopted a dog many years ago as an adult. The shelter thought he was anywhere from 2 to 5, but regardless he was an old soul. Shelter gave him the name Murray which we kept because it fit him so well.

Two we have now we rescued as older puppies, young adults so we did not get same chance to train ourselves. The German Shepherd mutt is responsive (got her about 1yo). Pyr we got at 6 months, is not, at least when she escapes containment. She is on our local police’s list of usual suspects.

The two I referenced both passed a few years ago. The BC/lab we got as an 8 week puppy was trained within an inch of her life (evidence attached). I’d say 95% recall only bc of border collie’s strong will. The Newf/Golden was ~2 yo so was as much a matter of learning his past training but a good boy
