Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse: archive.org/details/tipp...

No one gains anything from war directly - but we’d have lost a lot more of our culture and identity if England didn’t get involved. We’d objectively have been the next civilisation attacked. This is proven by how any expanding empire treats the countries they defeat or annex across history.

Tucker’s entire long of questioning shows he doesn’t understand how war works as a concept. The aggressor starts a war to gain something. The defender fights back to prevent losing something. The British empire got involved to avoid losing their allies and their empire to an enemy empire.

It’s a massive oversimplification to say “we’d all be speaking German” honestly. Germany becoming an empire would have meant the death of “undesirable” populations like the mentally ill, the poor, LGBT+, and many ethnic minorities. It was not about gaining anything for anyone. It was about loss.

It’s the word for ticket inspectors on public transport. Just a scary title for “ticket officer” usually but it’s been expanded to any industry that has high cases of theft. Often a security guard in a supermarket. They’re useful in theory but conductors and train guards are usually better.
