Getting through 2026 be like:

I sort of need a Seinfeld episode where George Constanza uses an AI version of him to go to work in his place but everyone in the office ends up liking the AI more so of course he has to destroy it.

I can also see Halbrands form being wounded and Sauron didn’t heal it himself because he’s pissy and then when he’s rescued he may have even made it worse to gain sympathy from the Southlanders/Galadriel and then going to Eregion is just an unexpected bonus

Pepper, Alex, Valerie, or Sam @pepperthephoenix.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

No apologies necessary! I love your theory & agree with a lot of it. I also love the mental image of Sauron lying in the ground, injured, mentally screaming ADAR!!!!!! And being pissed he’s been outsmarted by that Uruk again. I also agree that the Southlander reception definitely stroked his ego

I’m reading a book where a character uses MapQuest and I had a painful flashback to my childhood and family adventures. 😅

Not to side with the Balrog, but I also get very grumpy when someone wakes me up from my nap. #TROPRewatch

I love how loyal Disa is to Durin but there is an element of power hunger in her that makes me worried when it comes to the rings. Also love that Durin and Disa share the move on screens kisses so far. #TROPRewatch

Love how Sauron's jealous of poor Theo for getting to keep Galadriel's sword and then for changing the cheer from "Strength to the King" to "Strength to the Southlands!" You know Sauron is making a mental note that he has to get rid of that kid. #TROPRewatch

Ok, so for some reason I'm convinced Halbrand gave himself the injury because he'd somehow know the Elves would take him somewhere to be healed, but I'm not a hundred percent sure *why* I'm convinced this is the case. It just seems like something Sauron would do. #TROPRewatch

I love Largo's faith as he tries to cheer up Nori and the other Harfoots. He's such a warm character and a good Dad. #TROPRewatch

Again, wish we had more scenes with Miriel, Bronwyn, and Galadriel interacting together. There's so much potential there! #TROPRewatch

Ok, but why is it SO HOT when Miriel grabs Galadriel's chin and tells her "Do not spend your pity on me, Elf." (Yes, I'm a Gil-Galad X Elendil X Miriel X Galadriel shipper. I'm also an Adar X Celebrimbor X Narvi shipper if you want to know what level of deranged I operate on). #TROPRewatch

Yay! Theo and Bronwyn reunite and nothing bad happens to either of them EVER. Also yay! Theo gave Arondir a hug! Love how Arondir's like wait, is this what we're doing? Oh ok. Time to hug I guess. XD #TROPRewatch

Oh this Elrond and Durin digging in the mine scene also makes me cry. Their friendship and love is SO PURE!!! Just the look of love in each other's face and then DURIN WAS GOING TO SHARE HIS SECRET NAME!!! No one is going it like these two. #TROPRewatch

"My home is gone. Where is the design in that?" "I cannot yet see." That exchange always kills me bc a lot of times we can't see how things will work out & it's nice to have a character as powerful as Galadriel admit that sometimes things just suck but you still can't give up. #TROPRewatch

I love Galadriel's conversation with Theo and how she starts to see herself in Theo's grief, anger, and shame and she is counseling him as much as she is counseling herself. #TROPRewatch

King Durin III isn't wrong, even if he's a bit harsh about it. Also love that he frames it as helping the Elves "cheat death". It's such an interesting comment considering what the Elves' desire to remain brings forth. #TROPRewatch

100

I kind of want to know how the Elves settled on five centuries worth of goods. I can see Gil-Galad being like four? Four centuries, is that long for a dwarf? Celebrimbor: hmmm, maybe eight? Just in case? Gil-Galad: let's make it five and call it a day. That should be fine. #TROPRewatch

Also love how the eruption in the Southlands affects the Harfoot's migration. Again everything in Middle-Earth is connected and you can ignore the problems of the world only for so long before evil comes knocking on your doorstep. #TROPRewatch

I will say that I'm glad in season two they actually DID something with Isildur's "death" instead of making it a fake out that we all know is a fake out because we know Isildur's fate. It actually shapes the narrative in an interesting way. #TROPRewatch

Ok, first, love that Elendil *zooms* forward to rescue Miriel, shouting "THE QUEEN" Second, love how Galadriel just stands there like, "of fucking course. Nothing can be fucking easy, can it?" #TROPRewatch

I really need someone to step in and save Theo from himself, my poor boy. He's a perfect candidate for a ring, but I want him to be saved. I want Bronwyn's child to become a symbol of hope for the Southlands and proof that no one is inherently evil, even if they make serious mistakes. #TROPRewatch
