This is the Captain. He lived in a rescue center before we invited him to live with us. The rescue center couldn't tell us what he did to earn his rank, but we always call him by his proper and correct title anyway, out of respect.

A very handsome sandy-colored tabby cat. He is missing some of his right paw, but it doesn't bother him.

We've adopted Captain Hook, an adorable cuddlebug with a missing paw. He's due to be sterilised next week so he has to stay at rescue centre a little longer, but we're looking forward to bringing him home he's recovered. He's already the captain of my soul. #caturday

Luckily for Apple, its customers are deeply attached to their detached ear gear and are expected to spend $700 million or more this year just to replace lost AirPods and charging cases in 2019, according to one Wall Street analyst's estimate.

"It continues to be almost an epidemic, in terms of AirPod losses," said Wedbush securities analyst Dan Ives, who owns two pairs of AirPods.

He expects Apple to sell 62 million sets of AirPods this year, generating around $10 billion to $12 billion in sales, depending on how many customers purchase the basic model with two earbuds nestled inside a little plug-in charging case ($159) or a fancier wireless version of the charging case ($199). Replacement ear buds and cases represent about 5% to 7% of total AirPod sales, Ives estimates, or replacement sales of around $700 million, based on the mid-ranges of his numbers.

Very few users who lose their AirPods — maybe 1%, Ives figures — won't replace the lost accessories. "Many consumers view their priorities as food, water and AirPods," Ives said.

It's not so much that the Frenchies are so smart, it's that Le Pen and her party were very bad at embezzlement. I dearly hope they don't learn from their mistakes.

Le Pen and 24 others from National Rally (RN), including party officials, employees, MEPs and assistants, were tried last November on charges of taking money from the European parliament as part of an alleged fake jobs scam. Instead of the money being spent on EU staff, they were accused of having used it to pay party staff in France. The European parliament estimated the allegedly embezzled funds amounted to about €7m. Le Pen and the others have denied the charges.
