I've worked in retail irl, and I've been working as a freelance since I finished high school, and yeah There's always *a guy* like that But for some reason, this affects me more than the irl experiences I try my best with every client, so I appreciate with all my heart everyone who sticks around+

I'm also fearing that since I can't read the room, I miss the hidden social cues that someone is not happy with the things I deliver. If you ever feel that I delivered something you don't/didn't like, I'd love to know. I always prefer the truth over losing the trust of someone

If I have to communicate with clients, I also wish clients were as well clear when they find things they don't like and tell me right away, instead of making private posts, softblocks on social media or blaming it all on me when they could just talk ;A;

The 4th one, I talked about here but deleted because I hate cancel culture. But it was a guy who's friends with my bestie, and waited until I had the finished piece sent over (because they approved all updates without asking to fix anything) well, they came back like a day later telling to fix +++

The next was the Jassim guy that one day showed up, commisioned stuff for like 5usd and the started behaving ultra parasocial. Had to block them everywhere and the guy went to the extent of finding my tumblr account to send me a paragraph there on how much I don't deserve support

They told me that I shouldn't worry, 'cause they'd never commission from me ever again, since "I deliver what I just want" but, they were in the wrong for not telling me in the first place :S how was I supposed to know I wasn't doing my job right??

I had to confront said friend and ask them why they never told me anything, if they pointed out any change, i'd have done it IT WAS THEIR MONEY, if I'm not delivering something by their expectations, then I obviously have to be told so I can fix! +++

the second one: a "friend" gave them several updates and approved all of them, so I finished the piece and they told me they loved it 1 day later I'm told by my best friend that they made a post on facebook about hating that commission and that I ruined their day +++

I've had 5 particular bad experiences with clients, and the only one I will not be talking about will be the latest one (you know the one) 1-Got comm'd by a friend of a friend 5y ago: the guy would go on hating on my prices (he is also from ARG, so he was paying like $5 for a full body) +++
