The General Strike of 1926. Public meeting. Talks and discussion. Talks will include bsckground to the General Strike, events in Chesterfield in 1926 and the breakaway from the mineworkers trade union led by George Spencer of Nottinghamshire.

Exhibition about General Strike focussed on General Strike focussed on Chesterfield. May 2 12pm to 4.30pm, May 4 May Day Bank Holiday 10am to 4pm. Former Rose Hill United Reform Church, Rose Hill, S40 1LW (next to Chesterfield Town Hall).

Non-members welcome.
