Doppler; During the early design phase of "Treasure Planet", I sketched a few ideas for Doppler. At the time, the directors wanted Jeff Goldblum to voice the character. (Sergio Pablos would design/animate Doppler). #doppler #treasureplanet #characterdesign #2danimation

I was so thrilled doing this prompt for #disember that luckily I found some time on Sunday to get it done on time. This is my favourite scene in #moana . Always gives me the chills.

Megara Hercules As a Supervising Animator, we also helped design our characters. These are some of my early design drawings of Meg, exploring attitudes, hair designs, etc. #disneyhercules #megara #disneyanimation #femmefatal #design

This one captured the Grecian shapes, but was more of a realistic design.

Graphic hair shapes, and a Veronica Lake look.

This captured many of the design elements but still a bit more realistic.

Attitude.
We were using "screwball" comedies of the 1940s as inspiration. Barbara Stanwyck independent and intelligent attitude in her films were great reference, especially "The Lady Eve".
