On a transparent chain everyone has complete visibility into every transaction, and this assumption permeates nearly every aspect of existing blockchain tooling. Penumbra, on the other hand, is a shielded chain with private transaction data, so we need a way to see in the dark.

The last of the @penumbra.zone ZKPs is implemented. We've now replaced all of the mock "transparent proofs" with ZK-SNARKs! This one was Fun: in order to privately mint a user's pro-rata output, we had to do (128+128)-bit fixed-point arithmetic in-circuit, which needs a 384-bit mul for division...
