One of the last sunflowers in our yard blooming at the end of the of September. The Bees are mostly gone, the birds have moved in to pick at the dried seeds. Later in October the Squirrels will come in, climb up and knock the stalks over taking the remaining seeds. #UrbanLandscape #AnamorphicLens

Pioneer hilltop cemetery in the Willamette valley. Several headstones record early European settlers who traveled here by the Oregon Trail. Very few in the 19th century lived past 50. Many died young, women in their 20's - then children before the age of 10. #MonochromeAnamorphicPhotography

Wildfire above Lyle WA in the Columbia gorge. Yesterday the fire covered a few hundred acres. Today the fire's over 1,500 acres. This time of year the afternoon winds can reach 20 to 30 MPH and more. There has not been enough resources allocated to fight these. #AnamorphicPhotography #WestCoastKin

Called the long Narrows by Lewis & Clark, A ten mile stretch of rapids to be portaged. A native fishery after the Missoula floods receded and the salmon returned. In 1957 The Dalles Dam flooded this section of Nchʼi-Wàna (Columbia). Ending perhaps the largest fresh water fishery on the continent.
