As someone that actually speaks Japanese, so much of what they say cannot be transliterated into English, it just doesn't make sense like it does in Japanese. But these people refuse to understand that nuance. Similarly they'll tell you 2B is different in English and you ask them to explain.

You see this further when they become Lunarians, and Rutile becomes a therapist while Padpa just sleeps random locations implying that it was never fixing Padpa but having an expert authority. It is their obsession / pride to be the best "doctor" and also why they take offence to "quack doctor".

Like a lot of interpretations say that Rutile loved / obsessed over Padpa which is accurate to a degree that Rutile loved Padpa but the actual issue was that Rutile felt that their purpose was to be the best at their craft (medicine) like how others were for fighting, designing, etc.

Like it's obsession and pride, and how both of those could lead to someone's downfall. Most characters in HnK represent some Buddhist sin. Rutile does the same, while Phos themself is just a rock Buddha representation.

This is actually why Rutile loses their will to continue and goes almost catatonic after Padpa comes back from the moon. Someone fixed Padpa and it wasn't Rutile, there is no purpose to exist for Rutile anymore, that shock basically just shatters what little sanity Rutile had left.

Elster (LSTR-512) in Rotfront Back then, the original piece was supposed to be Samus as a Replika but since I haven't drawn Elster in armor; I decided to change the whole illustration. All worked out in the end though.

The EULR and the STAR get to look at the stars again. My favorite piece in the whole zine. I really had a blast working on this. I didn't give a lot of attention on the background cus' I was so focused on the two.
