In September 2024, a Hanoi court sentenced journalist Nguyen Vu Binh to seven years in prison on charges of propaganda against the state. PEN Perth has added him to our list of adoptees, writers who are in prison for responsible freedom of expression. penperth.com/campaigns

After 10 days of hospitalisation in Zanjan in northern Iran where she had been serving her sentence, Narges Mohammadi "has been granted a sentence suspension on heavy bail", her foundation said in a statement, without detailing the amount. See more at www.newarab.com
