Cody Balmer of Penbrook admitted to throwing two molotov cocktails at the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg while Pa. Gov. Josh Shapiro and his family slept inside. Balmer was sentenced Balmer to 25-50 years in prison and ordered him to pay $100,000 in restitution after Balmer pleaded guilty.

There are some places that get it right. Perry County is one. It has filed an average of 27 sex crime cases a year, which ranks among the highest across the state per capita. Last year, DA Clay Merris' office filed charges in 65% of all reported sex crimes, more than double the state average.
