Today I went back to watch some old YouTubers I looked up to In my youth. Bluerosearkelle and lemiacresent. Bring back these amazing ppl 💕💕 Arkelle is the main reason I got into colored pencils. Period. No one was doing it like her. she really shaped who I am as an artist truly

Ok so why is it that it's so hard to find artists who do stylized work and use ONLY colored pencils...

New OC who is this? she's a magickal girl🥰 I also don't have a name for her yet. but the design is very cute 💙 #blackartist #oc #digitaldrawing #chibi

brown skin, black love, black illustration

black magical girl with blue hair. braids at the front of the head that end in a crown of bantu knots. the other half of her hair in the back, sits like an anchor in a fro texture. all over her hair she has sparkly stars. and is shaded with halftones. the back of her head resembles a cloud. she has sparce blue baby hairs on her forehead.

she wears a ruffled yellow shirt/dress that is slightly floating in air at the bottom. light yellow ruffled sleeves and corset under bust built into the shirt. coming down on the sides are a deeper yellow almost light orange, ruffled fabric that is in a shape of a triangle coming down the sides with little stray pieces of lighter fabric also coming down on top of that. she wears puffy blue gray shorts (like a bubble skirt, or like bloomers just really bunched together from top to bottom) and leg warmers that cover her blue shoes (the same as her hair color).

she stands with her eyes closed, head slightly down. brown oval eye brows and long elf ears that come straight out the side. she has her right hand up (left side of the picture if you are looking at the picture) with the other behind her back. her left leg is also up (right side of the image)

the background is a mixtures of dark and light pinks. in a swirling pattern. going counter clockwise. there are faded stars and bright white stars and sparkles following this swirl pattern

this art work was made in the program clip studio paint ex version 1. with custom brushes

made with love by the artist penguinesk

Do you feel aimless in your art? I saw somewhere that if ur not working on a project and just doing art randomly. Ur not as motivated and having something to strive for helps u create more art

I came across an outdated guide on image grid sizing crop/proportions for bsky earlier, and I felt it was important to create an updated version! Please use this new guide instead!

Up-to-date BlueSky Crop Aspect Ratio
Crop Sizes for Bluesky as of 18 Oct 2024

By default, single images are uncropped. If image is too tall (Exceeds the 1:2 aspect ratio) then it will be cropped. Single images that are too tall may be scaled down but aspect ratio is preserved

With two images, both of them share a square aspect ratio of 1:1

For three images, the first image is square (1:1) while the other two are half-squares (2:1)

And for 4 images, all of them are 3:2

Let’s normalize here that it is okay to take days, weeks or a month to finish an illustration and take your time to make it the best you can! If you wanna post anything but nothing new then recycle your old art you’re still proud of; don’t let it be lost to the void! 🙏

Easy art hack to get the most out of your drawing session: Prepare and gather your reference material the night before drawing. Then, wake up early and start drawing before you do anything else. You'll start with full energy, focus, and motivation.

what if your ideas are as in love with you as you are with them? what if your creativity spends its days dreaming about you too? what if art is a co-creation between you (the vessel) & the eternal source of all things? what if this act of making is the universe experiencing itself through you?

I started making art seriously coz this girl made me feel less then coz I couldn't draw Then I did it as an outlet to show the things I liked coz I had no one to really talk to about it. Fanfics held me dwn Now I wanna tell a story. Educate (it's still very fun to just mindlessly draw cute girls)
