A2 - is there an implication with the 'keep students happy' suggestion that we should go easy on the marking?? Is it for NSS outcome chasing? That's probably also the easiest way to measure it. But there are probably better ways to 'keep students happy' - with a fab educational experience. #LTHEChat

A1 I couldn't attend my compulsory Y1 fieldwork because of illness. The uni accepted my prior experience and a certificate from a FE College for a short course I'd done in lieu. The flexibility of my uni was very satisfying. Not sure my uni now would / could be so flexible. #LTHEChat

I saw that on your blog and liked the look of it. We have Wednesday afternoon protected, for sport, student societies etc. as per tradition, but that's different from a slot in between classes where collaboration, peer support or individual quiet times might fit. #LTHEChat

A4 - I chatted with a student who could only afford to by a train ticket a couple of times a week so they had to be strategic, come in on the days there were several classes. Solo classes on a whole day had to be sacrificed 😢 #LTHEChat

A3 I don't take it as a judgement on my teaching - there'll be lots of other reasons students can't make my class. Half the assessment for the module draws on collaborative work done in class, hopefully that highlights that being there in person does matter. #LTHEChat

Q1. In the Common Room. Included inter-cohort chat. It was somewhere to go between classes, make coffee, chat, pop down to the Strand for doughnuts and chat some more. But only about a 20 student annual intake, so common room feasible. #LTHEChat
