Our canvassing event with high schoolers was a blast! These troopers knocked on over 400 doors today. I value mentorship and paying it forward — whether it was training and guiding younger attorneys at the prosecutors’ office, meeting with Capitol Hill interns, or advising students in the classroom.

At 16 years old, I volunteered for a Democratic campaign for Florida governor. It was, in part, how I met the community service requirement in high school. Ever since then, for the last 25 years, I’ve been vocally fighting for Democratic policies. Skin in the game. Not sitting on the sidelines.
