During the Wan Wan Dev stream, at one point, I accidentally said “character hotbox” in chat instead of “character HITbox”… Then someone else in chat said the characters hotboxing is bound to be fanart someday, and I decided to do it FIRST!! New WanWan Games dev stream, Julian was working on a Mummy this time. Greta character design as always! Also I drew the pumpkin and the reaper on a chalk board in a frozen yogurt shop. Trigger Treat is obviously my hyper fixation now, as I can’t bring myself to draw anything else really, haha!

There was a WanWan Games dev stream today, and as such I sketched some stuff along with it The reaper guy was worked on today and I like him almost as much as the pumpkin fella. They’re both fun to draw though! I’m real excited about watching as Trigger Treat gets finished God Speed WanWan Games!

I think I’m getting better at drawing the pumpkin dude, his pose on the left side is my favorite by far

Some Homestuck fan art featuring Nepeta and Gamzee just hanging out… When I first read through Homestuck years ago, I was still in middle school, and Nepeta was my favorite character. Somewhere along the way Gamzee took her place in the same way a usurper becomes king… violently

Currently replaying Pokemon Brilliant Diamond on the switch. My first pokemon game ever was Platinum for the DS so I’m pretty attached to Sinnoh and the pokemon in it, my favorite starter is Turtwig and my favorite Pokemon overall is Shinx. Anyways, this was my team. (Pre evolution)

There was a WAN WAN games development stream earlier today, Julian was working on a walk cycle for this character here. I don’t know much about the game or the character, but I liked the design a whole lot. So I dedicated a sketchbook page to Trigger-Treat.

I really don’t know anything about the game, so I just drew this guys with a few different weapons. He’s a cute little pumpkin head, other than that I don’t know anything about his personality haha. So there’s multiple takes, here.

Another sketch page, tryin to be more bold with my posing and angles as evident with the second drawing of Karkat(of Homestuck fame). I think what I really need to get a grasp on is my own confidence, something I struggle with is repeatedly drawing characters just…standing.

I drew character on the left first, I think as a warmup (but I’m not sure if I can call it that). Then I drew something he could be staring at, which turned out to be Dave playing with himself. (The jokes don’t stop)
To add onto my point about my basic posing problem, the way Dave in the middle is sitting just looks so weird and unnatural. I’m not exactly sure how to make it look like he’s naturally turning around to look at Karkat. I just need more practice, which is what all my art friends tell me, but I’m not certain what I should be practicing on exactly.

I kind of like how this turned out, but then I notice how wonky the legs look, and the arms, and the expression, and the proportions. I’m not trying to be self deprecating or anything, just doing my best to be critical of myself so I can get better.

In the past I’ve filled sketchbooks up entirely with what comes out to be, arguably, the same drawing on repeat. Doing that was a waste of the sketchbooks and a waste of my drawing time…

That being said, I want to be able to see some markable improvement in my art skills by the end of this sketchbook.

Dumping some sketch pages here because I don’t really know what else to post. I’ve been trying to work on posing, proportions, lighting, all that biz. Although I’ve only had the time to draw during my breaks at work I think I’m starting to fall back into the rhythm a little bit.

The dude with the big arm is an old OC of mine, then there’s Gamzee and Optimus Prime’s head at the top of the page. Right below Prime’s head is a Minecraft OC that’s not really fleshed out at all.

Here we’ve got a Goatman, some creepy Dog thing, and the Ink Demon from BatIM. Then another OC just standing there next to Dave and Karkat’s heads. This page is a good example of what I need to work on, posing and proportions are obviously something I’m struggling with.
