Some teachers stay with us long after we leave the classroom. This #WorldTeachersDay, we’re celebrating the teachers who inspire, encourage us and help shape the people we become.

An graphic titled 'Sending love to teachers who...' featuring a 3x3 grid of colorful watercolor hearts with messages: 'made us curious', 'always had time to listen', 'made us love reading', 'gave us confidence', 'inspired us', 'made us feel seen', 'taught us to think critically', 'made us feel safe', and 'never gave up on us'. In the bottom right corner, there is a European Union flag icon.

Some interesting comments here. Indeed the veggie ailes are usually much smaller than the highly processed ones. That coupled with the amount of investment into making processed foods highly palatable, it almost sounds like a losing battle…

I don’t understand your point - shall i not share content about stuff I like? What do you consider acceptable content to share online that does not infringe on your understanding of acceptable discourse online?

I think… you’re looking for things a tad too much and the more you look for them the more you find them… but to be clear, no. I just really like technology. Today I’m talking about a Bosch dishwasher, tomorrow I might be singing praises about #openhab #influxdb or #AMD.

Care to explain? Seems like you’re implying something about my post being an advert of sorts?

Hey! Here I was using my Avent baby bottle sterilizer, when my #bosch dishwasher has in fact the function “Hygiene Plus”. youtu.be/9SPBZvU1atk?... Now, as I understand it, one thing is sanitization and another is true sterilization - so the sterilizer is still useful. But this is pretty cool!

Something I really like in #Wsocial is that up to now they’ve been pretty transparent. Today I was clearing my email when I found this! wsocial.news/constitution This is pretty cool - no “do no evil” unfortunately but a good starting point. I look forward to seeing W grow :)

Update! My daughter has been unleashed! 3715 grams, born in the middle of the night, and with an attitude :D Now it’s time to unwind, regroup, and get back into the flow :) Thank you everyone for your kind words of support :)

Erg. @ec.europa.eu ? What is this about? www.irishtimes.com/business/202... “the document now proposes that the use of personal data should automatically be lawful as long as it is in the “context of AI”.” Say what now? “Should”? No, it should *not*. Don’t ruin this nice thing we got going here.

Hey everyone, Update! No update -.- couple false alarms, trips to the ER, and we were sent back home. Tired, sleepy and today our first born brought a fever from the kindergarden. Cheers for all the kind words, you made us both chuckle! I will try to grab some sleep before the next crisis pops up.

Today I woke up with my wife saying “hey, Sev, contractions are coming in every 10 minutes.” Sooo… today is going to be a fun day I suppose. I will be gladly accepting any positive vibes, thoughts, or memes, you can throw my way and my wife’s way. Our humor type is irony, sarcasm and similar. Thx!

This reminds me of the song by weird Al: “Beer”. It goes like this “Beer is good for you”. And it seems he was right!

Here’s my take: bots are needed. If #wsocial does not implement bots it won’t survive. The problem is, we lack transparency and accountability. Each bot must be clearly linked to an owner and their activity tracked. And if I have 50 bots spreading misinformation then I ought to insta be banned.

And obviously this is just the beginning. With Ukraine increasingly more capable, Russia will begin pushing buttons that they otherwise wouldn’t - call it desperation - I shudder to think how the world will look in 3 years. Didn’t a Polish politician get defenestrated this week? … here we go again…

I figured it’s high time to test #jellyfin as an alternative to #plex. I have the container running and hardware transcoding setup, let’s see how it behaves. I guess I’ll also pick up the NFC tag project for my kid from earlier this year. Slow weekend but managed to try some interesting things!

Pedro Liberal @pedroliberal.wsocial.eu · 18/09/2026

Today the project was a tad different. My kitchen toe kick is busted. The installers broke most of the clips and the ones that survived do not fit properly. In comes #3dprinting to help out. 10 minutes per clip for quick prototyping and we are a go.

Jamming. I meant to write jamming. Somehow auto correct turned it into having. My bad.

100

Pedro Liberal @pedroliberal.wsocial.eu · 17/09/2026

Not sure if you’re familiar, but certain gps modules can detect when they are targets of jamming. I want to detect and document them. My current solution is quite basic and I’m deciding on a more state of the art one. The picture shows a month of likely jamming attempts (each line is on episode).

Pedro Liberal @pedroliberal.wsocial.eu · 17/09/2026

I’m in bed with my son, it’s 1 am, and i’m researching gps modules having detection capabilities on the phone. Time is a construct we define and I refuse to be bound by it! ( though I’m getting pretty sleepy right about now heh)

So here’s the deal - at any point in time I have several ongoing projects, for example: Upgrading my 3d printer; Building new sensor nodes for my home; Adding an AI agent to my smart home; Random DIY work for my home; I’d be happy to share if others are interested - what say you? #esphome #esp32
