if the project doesn't use a lot of reflection and meet all checkboxes to be aot compatible than it's a good option. Didn't look into the code but since it's an old code-base I guess it should have some work to do to make it aot compatible

My 2 cents. For .NET Maui, it's fine to wait until net11 when mobile targets will run on top of coreclr, so that means less work (maybe something can break on this migration). On nuget you can archive a package and point to the new one, so users will not be lost. stackoverflow.com/questions/50...

How to deprecate a nuget package

I have 2 nuget packages for one of my open source projects: Expressive (.NET full) Expressive.Standard (.NET Standard) 2 was originally created as an investigation to make sure that it is viable. Now

I personally worked my whole career towards the fact, that if someone knows me and receives a PR from me, it has my name on it. This comes with a certain level of guarantee that I'm quite proud of. Quality of craftsmanship if you will. This is one of the most valuable things I have attained.

Apoiar sem educação/conscientização não muda nada. Pq vão continuar votando em bolsonaristas e apoiando quem é contra eles. O atual governo quis regular essa profissão e a grande maioria foi contra.

You can await on the result, using the deferral approach, but it will work only if you're the implementor of event handler www.pedrolamas.com/2017/04/04/a... In your case wrapping the caller inside a try/catch should be enough

Pedro Jesus @pedrojesus.bsky.social · 25/02/2025

You can use this nuget and look into the source code to learn more github.com/TheCodeTrave.... I'll see if I can find more resources on that subject.

Extending... If you don't await the task it will just throw if it has early argument validation, like LINQ does. The async/await machinery is very similar to the IEnumerable one

Pedro Jesus @pedrojesus.bsky.social · 21/02/2025

I would say this is already solved. You can wrap the code inside your async void with try/catch or use that FireAndForget extension. You can find a lot of them on github. But if it's fire and forget why care about logging the exception? If you don't await the task, it wouldn't throw

Profiler aot and full aot for Android are good approaches to reduce startup time, here are some data around an app that I optimized. It was for xamarin.android but should work for net-android (maui included)
