![Concept notes of OP's character Amelia Meyer:
Text:
"Amelia Meyer
Backstory:
Dad was a doctor for the scouts
Mom was a fisher by the riverside in wall rose
Has two siblings, middle is a boy and youngest is a girl
After her mom gave birth to her sister she got sick and became bedridden for the most part
Dad retired from working with the scouts to take care of her mom
He taught Amelia how to work with medicine (for her mom when he isn't around) and how to patch people up (when she's watching her younger siblings, her brother is very clumsy and gets hurt often)
Also taught her for cases like her mom, where you could tell she's getting worse, you have to have an emotional detachment so you can still try to help them without making any rash decisions from personal biases
Things stayed balanced for the most part, then wall maria got breached and things their family [Alt text note: I have no idea what I was trying to say here, I'm so sorry 💀]
Amelia decided (after getting encouraged by her parents) to go to the training corp to become a certified medic for the military ranks to bring in some more money for the family
Pretty bad at actually fighting, but she has very fast reflexes and is fairly graceful
very good with odm gear (with the flying around bit, she's still shit at fighting)
Tries to remain as detatched from her emotions as possible but smh she still gets attached to people
Because of her attempts to stay emotionally detached she occasionally will seem like she's zoning out in basic conversations, she still tries to remain friendly though so people still feel like they can go to her for help"](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:ahpuzrb4mfxf47rcwmpzsiru/bafkreidtgzcacb2fpamdgsn25huppjp3bnh7ao2lsy673uwgkrh7vxc5vq)
