Evil Dead Burn (Sébastien Vaniček, 2026; New Line/Screen Gems) - 7/10 Probably my least favorite out of Evil Dead movies I've seen but it's still pr solid.

Wendell & Wild (Henry Selick, 2022; Netflix) - 6/10 It's not great but not too bad either. There is amazing animation, good voice-acting, and the titular duo were funny but I wasn't quite hooked on the story that was kinda mediocre and messy with some of the pacing issues.

Creepshow (George A. Romero, 1982; Warner Bros.) - 8/10 Cool anthology Stephen King comic book movie! More movies should have campy silly stuff to entertain me

An American Werewolf in Paris (Anthony Weller, 1997; Disney/Hollywood Pictures) - 2/10 Even for An American Werewolf, this Paris sequel is just fucking stupid

Arachnophobia (Frank Marshall, 1990; Disney/Hollywood Pictures) - 8/10 For the very first Hollywood Pictures movie, it was very solid

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett, 2026; Disney/Searchlight Pictures) - Strong 7/10 I personally like the first Ready or Not movie better but the sequel is still fun.

Ready or Not (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett, 2019; Fox Searchlight) - 8/10 Great movie. This has the most satisfying bloodiest ending they ever wrote for a horror comedy

Halloween: Resurrection (Rick Rosenthal, 2002; Miramax/Dimension Films (currently by Paramount)) - 1/10 I can't take it anymore man, I just can't. I'm already at my limits to complete watching the Halloween movies.

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (Joe Chappelle, 1995; Dimension Films (currently by Paramount)) - 2/10 At least I can say that I am done with the OG Halloween sequels, because my god Curse is so ass

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (Dominique Othenin-Girard, 1989; Galaxy) - 4/10 What even is this franchise anymore, this 5th installment is just boring 🫩

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (Dwight H. Little, 1988; Galaxy) - 6/10 The twist ending was terrifying but it's just a Halloween sequel that exists

Halloween III: Season of the Witch (Tommy Lee Wallace, 1982; Universal) - 5/10 Ehhhhhh it's not bad, but not really that good of a third Halloween installment either. Remember when the creators wanted Halloween to be like Twilight Zone?

Halloween II (Rick Rosenthal, 1981; Universal) - 8/10 Great OG Halloween sequel. Dr. Loomis is the most melodramatic character in this sequel

Rings (F. Javier Gutiérrez, 2017; Paramount) - 2/10 At least The Ring Two has more substance while this feels like nothingness

Gothika (Mathieu Kassovitz, 2003; WB/Columbia/Dark Castle) - 5/10 Pretty mid movie, but waiter waiter, more Halle Berry and Robert Downey Jr. in horror movies please!

Magic (Richard Attenborough, 1978; 20th Century Fox) - 7/10 Takes a while to get going with the evil ventriloquist doing orders but damn it was kinda spooky for the second half. Anthony Hopkins is great here, so does Burgess Meredith here.

Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983) ended up getting stuck to a "0/10 for No Opinion Zone." I mean as someone who has seen a little bit of the show, I don't even know where to rate this entire movie. This movie confounded me that I can't give out my proper rating. What a bizarre anthology movie.

1408 (Mikael Håfström, 2007; Dimension (currently by Lionsgate)) - 8/10 A subversively great horror flick based on Stephen King's short story of "what if the hotel room haunts you if you enter here?"

Infernal Affairs (Andrew Lau & Alan Mak, 2002/2004; Miramax/Media Asia (currently by Criterion/Janus Films)) - 8/10, closer to a 9 Very gripping Hong Kong thriller, and I can see why Martin Scorsese decided to remake this!

Forgotten Island (Joel Crawford & Januel Mercado, 2026; Universal/DreamWorks) - 10/10 Was initially thinking of strong 9/10 at first, but the climax almost made me cry that bumps my rating to a 10 as one of DreamWorks Animation's most emotional movie to date

The Fox and the Hound (Art Stevens/Ted Berman/Richard Rich, 1981; Disney) - 9/10 If you take out the Dinky and Boomer chasing the caterpillar aspect that drags for a bit too long, it would've been a charming Disney masterpiece

The Aristocats (Wolfgang Reitherman, 1970; Disney) - 8/10 The "Ev'rybody Wants to Be a Cat" song seriously slaps

The Artist (Michel Hazanavicius, 2011; TWC/Studio 37/La Petite Reine) - 8/10 Very nice love letter to the golden days of Hollywood. It's also interesting too that this was the first silent movie to win the Best Picture Oscar since Wings from 1927.

BARDO, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths (Alejandro G. Iñárritu, 2022; Netflix) - 4/10 Ever get a feeling that this movie may have amazing-looking cinematography and good performances from the cast then later on the movie didn't do too much for you? That's what this film feels like to me :/

Peach Fan Media @peachfanmedia.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
The Revenant (Alejandro G. Iñárritu, 2015; 20th Century Fox/Regency) - 8/10, very close to a 7 Second act felt a little overly-expositional for the heavy pacing issues but I still think that movie was very good. Proud that Leonardo DiCaprio finally winning his long overdue Oscar for Best Actor

21 Grams (Alejandro González Iñárritu, 2003; Focus Features) - 7/10 It is good for Alejandro's first American movie but if the tragic narrative structure resolves a little more development to the main characters it coulda been great!

Amores Perros (Alejandro González Iñarritu, 2000/2001; Lions Gate) - 9/10 Damn! What a strong directorial debut! I mean yes it was not an easy watch with some of the clunky editing but the filmmaking techniques were raw with masterful storytelling of intertwined stories.

Oliver! (Carol Reed, 1968; Columbia Pictures) - 8/10 Yeah this was a very nice movie for the spectacle with some catchy musical sequences and well-crafted art direction and choreography, but the pacing felt pretty sluggish.

Coyote vs. Acme (Dave Green, 2026; Ketchup/WB) - 10/10 The best live-action/CGI Looney Tunes movie we've got for many years. Big fuck you to David Zaslav for trying to cancel that film.

Django Unchained (Quentin Tarantino, 2012; TWC/Columbia) - 10/10 on rewatch (initially a 9/10 on first time watch) Gets a lot better than I remembered. The legendary performances from Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson were highlights and the action were stellar.
