I was having too much fun to remember to take pictures, but the 2025 Winter Social was a blast. We talked about the past and the future, made connections, and enjoyed some delicious pizza with beverages. Hope to see you at the next one!
Half-eaten pizza and ice cream, empty glasses, and a sign encouraging folks to join, volunteer, and organize with Portland Tenants United. This is what was left after a fun social with around 30 PTU members and interested folks.

Make your voice heard, write testimony to oppose HB 2305, the three-strikes law that will let landlords evict with impunity and destroy right to cure. Submit testimony at olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2025R1/M....
Tenants need to get loud! HB 2305 is a 3-strike law for evicting tenants. Landlords want it to be easier than ever to put more people on the street. Several bills this legislative session will affect the rights of tenants in Oregon. Every tenant should take the chance to submit testimony against or in support of these bills.

PTU's annual renter survey report is in, and breaking news, THE RENT IS STILL TOO DAMN HIGH! Read the whole report here: pdxtu.org/annual_rente... #PTUSurvey
PTU 2023-24 Survey
Portland Tenants United conducts an annual survey of Portland area renters asking about their housing experiences in the preceding 12 months.
Results suggest a rental market that is still too expensive for many, burdens from extra fees and utilities, a prevalance of unresolved housing issues, and widespread harrassment of tenants by landlords.
