Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 2hYou're welcome! It's well worth the money! I think I'm north of 50hours. Gets kind of repetitive at the end but still a lot of fun to Terraform a planet 000
Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 3hNew update is pretty fun! I haven't played the new worlds yet but they have a fully fire one with no ice and a fully water/ice one. So you can do stuff like drop ice chunks and or space mirrors/shades 130

Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 5hBig agree! As someone who has been using git for 9 years, jj hasn't clicked. As someone training juniors on git for at least 6 I can very much so see why it does for so many and is a better fit. All I ever see is excitement from people finding a tool they can use easier and talking about that 120

Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 8hI think there is prob more on the front of selling "Sign in with atmosphere" that will be needed. But I think everyone using similar screens will help build that trust and is a great first step towards explaining the idea of "You have one account on the internet that you own" 0180
Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 8hpeople feeling comfortable logging in to an account they already have on other atproto apps if they see a familiar login that they experience when logging into an atproto app they already trust with their password (Bluesky). 1200
Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 8hWant to build atproto applications in this manner as well. Added bonus is I think it would help in the long run show a bit more that Bluesky is an application on the Atmosphere, and you are logging into a service provider instead of the Bluesky app, which in turn might help... 1200
Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 8hthere's still some pain points with the 2 week max auth. I think if Bluesky was dogfooding it, it could help improve that experience, whether it's TMB or client assertion backend since that would probably have to be the path for the social app to use OAuth. Will give better experience to devs who... 1220
Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 8hI'm not sure if it's the most impactful, but I think probably moving the social-app to use OAuth. OAuth is the chosen/recommended path for auth, and it's really solid as is. But I think for atproto apps building in the style of the social-app (XRPC proxying, client holds auth)... 1530

Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 9hoof I did not realize they increased in price so much. I want to say mine fully loaded was closer to the $1.6k ballpark. Is a harder sell there, but it really is a good investment 110
Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 9hI bought one full price in 2021-ish and it is going strong and I haven't ever thought of getting a different chair. They are pricey, and uh not an accountant. But rumor is you can also write them off to help a bit. They also ship them fully assemble which is cool 110

Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 16hand selling those pros that people care about seems a better tactic to me. May not always be the most affective, but I think it's the best way to go about it in the long run, and always sits better with me. 000
Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 16hI think sites like those will attract who they attract and want those features. I think there's probably a bit the "good ol boy system", people who know people. Bailey Townsend 🦀 @pds.dad · 17hAll good! Got excited about it, and the way everyone is excited about jj is what keeps bringing me back to wanting to try it. The biggest thing for me is my brain just kind of works with git. Source of the work comes from a commit/physical date. So I know I'm appending to that, if someoen merges.. 110
