I loved Buddy so much. An unexpected gem, both hilarious and horrifying in equal measure.

I don’t know if I fully understood Buffet Infinity. But it made me laugh a lot, and I was thoroughly entertained. So, I’m calling it a winner.

Finished “We Used To Live Here” tonight. Really solid thriller. Does a nice job with the “am I going crazy or are the bad things really happening” back-and-forth.

I wasn’t certain if a movie adaptation of Exit 8 could work. Happy to say that it doesn’t just work, it’s wonderful. Possibly the first truly great movie adaptation of a video game. Loved it!

Finished The Reformatory tonight. Outstanding work. Hard to stomach at times, but also hard to put down. One of the best books I’ve read in a long while.

Hokum is a winner! Damian McCarthy is one of the most exciting filmmakers working in horror right now, and this one feels like his most assured work. I already want to see it again.

Finally got around to reading Between Two Fires, and I loved it. Equal parts horrifying, haunting, and heartbreaking. Gonna let it sit in my head and my heart for a while.

I’ve been thinking about this dialogue from 1000xResist a lot over the past couple of weeks.

Finished Midnight Mass again. The more I watch it, the more certain I am it is one of the greatest mini-series I’ve ever seen. A singular achievement. I am in awe of it.

Received Incidents Around the House for Christmas. Started it last night, and I couldn’t put it down. A fantastic, creepy-as-hell book that had me glued to each page all the way to the end. Loved, loved, loved it.

Carry-On is a really good time. Sometimes, you just want a fun thriller, and this one more than fits the bill. Can definitely recommend it.

Here’s a picture of the box. I bought it on sale for about $400. I just looked it up on Amazon, and it’s currently on sale for $410. There are cheaper players out there that’ll do the trick, but I wanted to treat myself. So, I saved for about 8 months, and got it.
