Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed has one of the best sound tracks that I have ever heard in a mainstream TV show. There is a lot of dark electro noise, with a sprinkling of minimalist techno, running the gamut from Industrial to Rave. The story is pretty compelling too, which is a bonus!

We're now being told that Trump's willing to put the global economy at greater risk so that he can seize an island roughly the size of Portland (UK) that would put thousands of his troops in close bombardment range. Kharg sounds vaguely Klingon; Trump should expect the Iranians to fight like them.

I find it stunning how most western orientated countries have been rendered impotent by their reliance on American defence forces, supply chains, and financial systems. This is exactly what John Perkins was warning about in Confessions of an Economic Hit Man. That book is shockingly relevant today.

There are a lot of people out there who could do with looking up the meaning of intersectionality. Factionalism based on minor disagreements always means the greater enemy wins. Sometimes it feels as though holding progressive views makes you a part of a circular firing squad. This is why we lose.

I hate it when people bring politics to a philosophy fight. Righteous absolutism will never shift my belief in ethical utilitarianism. Half the time they don't even realise that I share the same opinion as them, but I am taking a broader view.
