👋 @tailscale.com -- any plans for something like tsd proxy to be first class? something like this (with oauth) is SO much more straightforward than all the hoops and config with sidecars file:///Users/paul/Downloads/carbon(13).png
A proposed docker compose setup for a simplified proxy vs sidebars per service

The new Join operators are also really nice. I was just working on a complex filter feature recently that I can greatly simplify with this new method. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/ef/cor...
An example of the new left join syntax

```
var query = context.Students
    .LeftJoin(
        context.Departments,
        student => student.DepartmentID,
        department => department.ID,
        (student, department) => new
        {
            student.FirstName,
            student.LastName,
            Department = department.Name ?? "[NONE]"
        });
```

EF 10 introduces named query filters, which allow attaching names to query filter and managing each one separately: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/ef/cor...
example of the new named query syntax:

```
modelBuilder.Entity<Blog>()
    .HasQueryFilter("SoftDeletionFilter", b => !b.IsDeleted)
    .HasQueryFilter("TenantFilter", b => b.TenantId == tenantId);
```

Each tab gets to define how it filters data. It essentially acts as a sub-filter for whatever data is currently in scope in the autocomplete, so your normal filter action and state continue to work as is.

🏖️ Tonight's feature post beach vacation, tab filtering! This one is pretty cool and not one I've seen in the wild outside AriaKit. Code ⬇️

The api is *heavily* inspired by @tanstack.com -- from the headless table api to async first tanstack form and it's been working out great 🔥 may even make it framework agnostic too! Still early days so subject to change, but here's an example:

I've been working on a headless React UI library for an autocomplete and it's been quite fun. Really happy with how it's coming along so far!

FWIW, with Microsoft AI you can easily handle this with something like this, but it seems like Deepseek appends a ton of new lines and that's what gets picked up as the message text 🫠 file:///Users/paul/Downloads/carbon(7).png

Didn’t have crypto spam on my OSS bingo card today, but I guess it’s a milestone nonetheless 😒
