What blows my mind is Telsa's had great success offloading FSD's risk and liability to its customers, essentially saying you're on your own when using it. But now they want to sell taxi rides? How's that going to work? Whose responsible when the taxi hits a train?

Yeah, outrage porn is a thing that both sides enjoy. I've come to the conclusion that a significant number of people on both sides enjoy 'politics as a sport', even though it puts millions of innocents at risk.

You're absolutely right that there are tons of people in Red States who didn't vote for this and don't deserve to suffer, but farmers (especially bigger ones) overwhelmingly did vote Trump. Some learn from positive reinforcement, some from negative. May this be their learning opportunity.

Oh man. Now the vintage watch guys are going to come crawling out of their hobbit holes. They're the worst. Oh look, a photo of my Omega Constellation Pie Pan ref 168.005 Cal.561, how did that get in here...

This isn't even the first time Musk has personally supported CSAM on his platform. Dropping X from the app stores is a no-brainer, but the smooth brains in charge of Google and Apple aren't going to upset Tump's bestest buddy.

If you delve deeper into this, there's some weird shit going on. Look up the Musk Foundation webpage for a clue. If I recall correctly, the foundation is 'run' by a lawyer in a strip mall. Since its filled with $TSLA stock, there's a theory Musk uses the foundation to manipulate the share price.

Yeah...[sigh] My faith in the electorate is at an all time low, so nothing would surprise me. But with JD Vance, the odds are good because the goods are odd.

Especially during the holidays, as people often get too busy to donate. I had to time my donations this year to ensure I was eligible in December.

Cults *USUALLY* die with their leaders, so I don't see the 'Trump magic' rubbing off on JD Vance. Republicans who won't blame Trump for anything will PROBABLY blame Vance. I say PROBABLY because who the heck knows what's real anymore.

He's an expert at moving the news cycle. Granted, he got us to forget he razed the White House by committing literal war crimes. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll stroke out before signing Pete Hegseth's pardon.

I was torn on the game. Its just not my playstyle. But damn if I wasn't emotionally wretched by the pain in Harry's voice when you fail the roll for his karaoke song. But you have to fail the roll. The 'success' is flat and boring. It's definitely the more Radiohead of the two iterations.

Wouldn't it be something if California proceeds with their redistricting and Texas can't. Afterall, California's isn't race based so probably not illegal. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

He looks like me when I see a big scary bug crawling across the floor. He's willfully ignoring what's going on. Perhaps because he's facing his own mortality. I love that for him.

A different article noted that Republicans in Texas assumed Trump would keep his 2024 gains w/Latinos when they redistricted. And in the redrawing process, they made some reliably Red districts less Red. Not saying the GOP doesn't succeed, but they're rapidly painting themselves into a corner.

Both the plaintiff and defendant were women though. And the only person to go to jail over this was a woman as well.

Iceland up there looking all dead and sexy like. Kind of crazy to see the CSA Alabama up there, which was a British built Confederate ship that raided Union shipping during the Civil War.

The idea is that AI profits will be shared with displaced workers, but they can't even get OpenAI to pay for the copyrighted content their LLMs plagiarize. That said, Musk may support a UBI, but only because it gives him power over others. Give up all rights and yeah, you might get some crumbs.

These guys can't be real. They're just saying this shit to spark engagement, even if its the worst kind of engagement possible. I'm not about to go to Nazi app to see the responses, but I'm going to guess they're 99% negative. Even in the depths of Musk's toilet, no one agrees with this.

Now now, companies are requiring their employees use the AI they spent so much money on. That KINDA creates demand. AI parties being similar to Liz Lemon parties.

It was a very Boomer crowd. I'm sure some thought Ozzie did a real life selfie video with Whitney Houston and Bob Marley. At a separate point he talked about Tina Turner and performed a song they once dueted, but thankfully there was no AI generated Tina strutting around.

There are sects of Christianity that believe God doesn't DO anything. He's not curing your mom's cancer or helping your team win the big game because he's not a genie who grants wishes. You pray for guidance and clarity, not because you get a prize.

Saw Rod Stewart on Friday and that whole part was so weird and awful. They had Ozzie posing next to singers he had no musical connection to. Not saying it would've been better had they only picked artists Ozzie collaborated with, but at least it'd make more sense.

Cotton drains soil so quickly, that it was common practice to just up and move plantations rather than use crop rotation. The whole system was unsustainable in so many ways and was geared exclusively to short term cash crops. It was all so very stupid.

New York Democrats really are a special kind of awful. Only slightly better than New York Republicans, so it makes perfect sense Trump's been both.

But also, if you asked Spielberg HOW his cinematographer composed his shot or how the VFX team rendered the dinos, he could give a good explanation. Ask this ass clown how the shading was done on their 'art' or why they picked that color palette and the best they could say is 'a wizard did it.'

The problem are all the conflicting policies. He wants 1890 manufacturing without the open borders that kept those bustling factories full of workers. Which does he moderate on first? Immigration or tariffs? My guess is neither, which dooms this to failure.

This reminds of the 24 legacy digital services employees who resigned from DOGE. Musk is probably happy they left, but they took decades of institutional knowledge with them that Big Balls over there can't replicate. So much of government work can't be easily done w/o that deep well of knowledge.

ONE positive is grifters act in their own self interest. Looking at the unvarnished data, RFKjr realized he was going to get blamed and he acted on it. He's not a good guy, but I'll take whatever I can get. I fear the True Believers more than the grifters right now.

Harris' own internal polling showed Trump winning. I get it. It's terrible. But he won the popular vote as well as the Electoral College. My only solace is that Chuds will suffer along with the rest of us for their choices. www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

Really hard. Remember, Trump won ALL the swing states and even the kind of swing states like Georgia. Those states either have Dems in charge or Republicans who've pushed back on Trump in the past. You're talking about the difference between a dozen conspirators and thousands of conspirators.

Musk is KINDA right...but you'd need local access to the voting machine to do anything. There's no system for changing votes remotely. And Starlink is just slow internet (but fast for a satellite). There's nothing nefarious about it except it's owner is a racist douche with a breeding kink.
100
Ben A. @pcjr.bsky.social · 03/03/2025
Hacking voting machines requires physical access. You can't hack via Starlink. That's like saying I can hack via my Comcast router. It sucks. But Trump won. For whatever demented reason, this joke of a President is what our electorate wanted.

Trump saved what? $60m? When he disbanded the pandemic group? Such a bargain...4 trillion dollars later. Also they need at least $1t by the end of Spring if he's going to pass his tax cuts w/o budget reconciliation and they won't get that w/o massive defense/SS/Medicare cuts.

He'll never be bankrupt. He's already taking billions in shareholder money from Tesla and funneling it into his private businesses. But...it has to mean SOMETHING that $TSLA has dropped every day since he started his DOGE shit. Maybe the shine is finally rubbed off the wunderkid? 🤷
