Portrait by Mallory K. Nelson who writes in the caption “I just don’t have words” : walnut ink portrait of Devva wearing a crown and fairy wings. Water color back grown of a rainbow palette of overlapping circle.⭕️
This caption was written by Deborah Addington, Devva’s sister. Our beloved sister, daughter, mother, wife, scholar, friend, colleague, teacher, spinner, weaver, dancer, and all-around brilliant being took off her body at 12:20 pm PST, Sunday, January 26, 2025.

Baruch Ata Adonai, Eloheinu Melech HaOlam, Dayan HaEmet.

May she rush to the arms of The Beloved, at peace and free of pain.

May we who remain feel fully our grief, and fully feel yhe joy she brought to the world. We remeber her so that she lives forever, as she should. 🕯💔🕯This caption was written by Deborah Addington, Devva’s sister. Cover description: A painting depicting a cyborg infant in a green bassinet. Birds have entered the room through an open window. They have toppled a potted plant that lies beside the cradle. A yellow canary stands on the floor below a child’s growth chart. It appears to be looking into a closet in which an empty cradleboard is just visible in the shadows. Three pictures of flowers decorate the wall above the cradle. A dream catcher hangs from a curtain rod above the cradle from which is also draped a white lace curtain. One of the birds, a brown-headed cowbird, pulls on the wires attached to the infant’s arm. This painting is displayed on the cover of this book.
