In 1997, my girlfriend and I lived in Tuscaloosa. One night, we decided to meet at Red Lobster for supper. She had left a pair of shoes at my apartment, and asked me to bring them with me. I did, and put an engagement ring in one of the shoes. She found it standing there in the parking lot.
