Vikas does, eventually, learn to enjoy physical closeness and affection, though he rarely initiates. Positive physical affection was not a part of his upbringing and was often purposefully denied, so in general he sees it as either a manipulative tactic or doesn't know how to react.

In terms of the obvious... Vikas has never seriously considered it. He wants to live, and he is deeply envious of people who have the freedom he doesn't to live their lives as they choose. He feels that ending his own life would only benefit his father, and he lives to spite him.

Vikas’s dream life is anywhere away from his father - somewhere no one can bother him or where they don't know who he is. He hasn't given much thought to what he'd do with his time because he never sees it as an actual possibility, just a dream.

A little ironically, he does wish to have someone who he can feel wholly safe with and not feel shame to discuss these things or admit weakness, but he's very convinced that it would be used against him somehow like his father had done.

Vikas is extremely guarded. If he feels safe with someone he will open up, but only so far. He has been hurt emotionally by his father as a child and in his adult life, and finds it easier to keep to himself than to burden someone else with his problems.

Vikas isn't really that gullible. He's deeply suspicious of most people and is used to good deeds coming with conditions. If he trusts someone and they break that trust in some way, unintentional or not, he is deeply wounded by that. He doesn't like to be mocked or made an example of.

Vikas would draw, only pencil and/or charcoal. Its meditative to render fine details and delicate shading. He prefers landscapes with water - lakes, ponds, rivers. He always finds a way to include himself somewhere, to imagine himself anywhere else but where he is.
