It includes 15 datasets, 20,908 processed sources in total (manually verified). Most of the data (78%) comes from us; the rest comes from respected colleagues (Harvard Kennedy School Misinformation Review, ISD @isdgermany.bsky.social , @newsguard.bsky.social, 🇺🇦 Detector Media and others).

⚡️Meet the world’s first open AI Disinformation Benchmark We launched the nonprofit project Dosimeter. A dosimeter is a device that measures radiation; it became famous after the Chernobyl disaster. Dosimeter is a team of three people, based in Berlin. We monitor disinformation in AI assistants

3. Gyms for robots. Physical AI needs sensor and motor data from the real world, so robot "gyms" are opening, where robots repeat real movements again and again. That is why a humanoid in San Francisco cleans your flat for only $30 an hour (with a remote operator): every cleaning is training.

Charles Stross imagined such companies in his sci-fi novel Accelerando. Now Anthropic has opened a wet lab (!) for its Claude agents, where about 950 of them found a CRISPR-like system, and OpenAI says its agents solved Navier-Stokes, a math puzzle with a $1,000,000 prize.

2. A pharma company with 37,000 employees, none of them human. In Science, Stanford describes a virtual biotech of up to 37,000 AI agents. In less than a week they went through tens of thousands of clinical trials and proposed a lung cancer drug (yes)

News in 2026 sounds like science fiction, usually the bad kind (like the "plague outbreak on soviet biolab"), but sometimes like very good intellectual fiction. I want to share with you 3 stories from science journals and AI labs this autumn, and all of them are real 🧵

Is it legal? Absolutely not. It breaks several points of the EU AI Act at once, and for this they can get a fine of up to 15 million euros

What it does: - every 15 minutes it takes texts from other far-right sources, - it ranks them by a virality score (how far each will spread on social media), - it turns a story into 5 headlines, 3 tweets, an Instagram text and an image in the party design, and posts them on 7 platforms in one click

Besides this, the AfD also earns money by offering its slop generator to anyone from 69 euros a month Inside, gemini-3-flash-preview from Google writes the texts, gpt-image-2 from OpenAI makes the images, and claude-opus-4-8 from Anthropic turns speech in videos into text.

The Alternative for Germany (AfD, far-right) has its own AI tool for propaganda, Alternita Studio The party co-leader Alice Weidel publishes her social media posts through this software, as her own lawyers confirm, and AI images without a label were found on her Instagram
Screenshot of the Alternita Studio website: a section about short videos, and a phone with a clip of Alice Weidel at a lectern with subtitles. Under the phone, a line in German: "Real result, straight from the platform. No mockup."

That Substack post defends Russia's invasion and calls it a "Special Military Operation", the Kremlin's name for the war. It says more than 30 Pentagon-funded biolabs worked in Ukraine and cites Russian military briefings. The same blog advertises "Covid Vaccine Detox Solutions and Strategies"
